TenEighty is more than just reliable and fun journalism; it’s a reflection of internet culture, a brand with its finger on the pulse and a place to celebrate and debate all that world wide web whirl. We started small, grew fast and continue to grow every day.
We’re always on the look out for enthusiastic people with a thorough understanding of this crazy internet world. We’ve built a brand that has become a trusted voice of the community and now we’re looking to expand the TenEighty HQ team.
Our voluntary team regularly produce content that will be viewed, shared and often commented on by their favourite creators. It feels great to publish an article on someone who’s making really cool content; but it feels even better when they thank you for writing a great article on them.
We also love seeing our team members progress. By offering in-house training and opportunities to move around within TenEighty, we believe in offering support at every step of the way. Whatever members are doing away from the computer, TenEighty can also help them get there. Did you know that some of our writers have gone on to write at national media publications? Others have taken journalism courses as a result of joining TenEighty and some have even restarted their old YouTube channels. Cameras at the ready.
See a list of our current opportunities below. Please note all roles at TenEighty are voluntary and any money made is reinvested into the brand. But in case you’re still not convinced, we asked some of our friends what they think…
As a member of our team you’ll have the opportunity to write about subjects that matter to you, whether you’re a beauty guru stan or you’re the type of person who knows what tech companies are doing next before they’ve even announced it. Our writers produce content with heart, including unbiased and factual news, engaging and fun listicles and exclusive interviews.
We’re very eager to see all of our contributors diversify their writing skills and create content they’re passionate about within our various teams. When you tell us your areas of interest, we’ll make sure that you are top of the list for any incoming stories of that nature. But you’ll also have freedom to source stories that matter to you.
As volunteers, we only ask that you aim to write one article per week, but there is flexibility. Typically each writer has a set day and editors will work with you to achieve this around your availability.
Although professional writing experience is not necessary, those with a background in copywriting will be most suited to this role.

We’re always looking for passionate individuals who’d like to get involved. Feel free to contact us and tell us why you’d be a great fit for the team, as well as including any relevant links or your portfolio.
