Another week has come and gone…
As the world begins to see COVID-19 restrictions loosen in some countries, we’re beginning to see a somewhat return to normal. While we’re super excited about this, we’re also a bit cautious, given the pandemic is still very much happening. We’ve definitely noticed a decrease in the number of coronavirus-related tweets on our timelines, but we hope everyone realises that we’re not out of the woods yet. We need to remain cautious. It’s possible to be so, while also being optimistic about the future.
Over the past week, our favourite YouTubers once again spent their time sharing their thoughts with us, whilst stuck in lockdown. Some were a bit concerning, while others were downright hilarious. That’s why we simply had to share a few with you! What are you waiting for? Let’s jump into it!
So old school
I just remembered that Netflix started as a mail order DVD service
— Tessa Violet (@TessaViolet) June 13, 2020
Can you imagine having to wait to watch a movie because the DVD was being shipped through the mail? Sounds like torture to us, Tessa Violet! We much prefer the new way Netflix is doing things.
We apologise to everyone who knows us
after being stuck with myself in quarantine for 3 months I want to formally apologize to anyone who’s ever had to deal with me
— Joey Graceffa (@JoeyGraceffa) June 14, 2020
We too have come to this realisation about ourselves, Joey Graceffa. We didn’t realise just what it took to be friends with us until we were stuck in quarantine for three months. How do people put up with us? We have no idea!
Why would you do this?
If this ever happens it was my fault pic.twitter.com/Gp0pzIsR9P
— Dan Bull 🍐 (@itsDanBull) June 13, 2020
Why would you even suggest this, Dan Bull? This certainly does NOT need to happen.
SAY IT LOUDER
It should be illegal to be paid to promote weight loss products – I will never ever ever change my mind on that. Healthy weightloss isn’t meant to be fast, and promoting things that sell that idea can literally kill someone.
— Talia Mar (@TaliaMar) June 10, 2020
This message needs to spread far and wide, Talia Mar! We can’t even begin to explain how much we hate the peddling of weight loss products. Not only do they spread false information, but they are extremely dangerous! We need to be promoting healthy, supervised weight loss, not some lose weight quick scam.
How about no?
i wish rats were big enough to hug
— corry 🛸 (@notcorry) June 12, 2020
We’re going to have to disagree with this tweet, NotCorry. Let’s keep rats the size they are… No need for them to get any larger.
It’s definitely not for the taste
i’m now convinced you people like Kombucha because of the aesthetic.
— ehis ilozobhie (@EhisIlozobhie) June 13, 2020
We agree with this sentiment 100%, Ehis Ilozobhie. It has to be for the aesthetic, since kombucha tastes horrible. It’s kind of like avocados. People take pictures of themselves eating them because it’s trendy, but do they actually like them? We think not.
Late night thoughts with Jamie
1:30am and I just sat bolt upright in bed and said
COHEED AND CAMAMBERT
and I have no idea why
— Jamie – COMMISSIONS OPEN (@RageNineteen) June 15, 2020
We too have no idea why you’d feel the need to say that at 1:30am, Jamie Spicer-Lewis. Maybe you should consult a dream journal or a psychic.
We. Hate. Bugs.
bro flies are so fucking annoying holy shit what purpose do they even serve in society besides buzzing loudly and landing on you and itching like hell???????
— James Charles (@jamescharles) June 8, 2020
Ugh, it’s not just flies, James Charles, it’s every bug! They’re just so annoying, and don’t get us started on when they bite us! Like, could they get any more inconvenient?!
Facebook is so 10 years ago
Who actually WRITES Facebook statuses
— Sammy Albon (@SammyAlbon) June 12, 2020
We’ll answer that for you, Sammy Albon: grandparents and those who have yet to discover Twitter.
We’re so lonely
Have just realised this would involve me having a ‘love’ now or in the past so slowly realising this isn’t a possibility
— eve (@evebennettx) June 13, 2020
We think everyone has experienced this whilst watching Mamma Mia!, Eve Bennett, and we’re sure the majority have also come to the realisation that it’ll never be possible, given their current (or past) love life.
WE’RE JUST SO LONELY. WHY WON’T SOMEONE LOVE US?!
So there you have it…
Our favourite YouTuber tweets from the past week! We’ve loved reading about what our faves got up to over the past seven days! It makes us feel as though we have a life outside of our homes, which are the only places we’ve been since the COVID-19 lockdown was first put into place. (We miss having actual social lives… Very much so.)
