6 Beauty Gurus You Need To Check Out

Being bored at home during lockdown has given us a lot of time to practise and perfect our favourite looks. With makeup, fashion, and morning routines all considered, we thought we’d help out and compile a list of our must-watch beauty gurus. This list consists of a full variety of beauty content, so all of your wishes and desires are covered. With all this time on our hands, there’s no better time than now to learn some new beauty tips and tricks.

And with that, here’s six beauty gurus that you need to check out!

Emily Noel

Kicking off our list is Emily Noel, a criminally underrated beauty vlogger. As a former news anchor, Emily calls her makeup videos “beauty broadcast” (pretty genius tbh), which acts as “unbiased, unsponsored beauty talk”.

Across her channel, you can find a variety of makeup based content, with a primary focus on affordable products, making her tutorials and looks accessible to her audience. What we love most about Emily’s channel is her honesty when it comes to reviewing and looking at different products. Her unbiased and unsponsored look at things is so refreshing and we can’t wait to see what she does next!

Patricia Bright

We could never do this list without mentioning one of our absolute faves, Patricia Bright. From her beauty content, to her fashion videos, to her insanely interesting vlogs, we are obsessed with her content!

At TenEighty HQ, we have spent way more buying clothes online than we really needed during this lockdown. Luckily for us, Patricia’s haul videos have given us all the inspiration we need for our seasonal lockdown looks. Aside from her clothing hauls, Patricia also makes the most adorable videos with her family, as well as reviews of beauty products she tries and organisational tips and tricks.

Glam&Gore

We absolutely LOVE Mykie‘s unique, special effects-based take on makeup tutorials! Better known by her channel name, Glam&Gore, she takes makeup tutorials to a whole new level.

If special effects makeup artistry is your thing, Mykie’s channel is perfect for you. As an incredible self-taught makeup artist, she has a wide variety of content from her very popular “transforming into Disney princesses” series to her gore specific looks. She also gives her unique take on popular challenges (sometimes starring other creators, such as Nikkie de Jager and the Dolan Twins). Mykie’s channel has something for everyone to enjoy!

LookingForLewys

Although not all of his content is beauty related, we cannot get enough of Lewys Ball. This British creator never fails to make us smile and tell us exactly how it is. Lewys has been one of our favourite channels for years, and we’ve loved watching his content grow and change!

Amongst the hilarious vlogs and unpopular opinions, Lewys is best known for his binge worthy get-ready-with-me videos and challenges that make us cry laughing. If you’re looking for makeup tutorials that make you feel as if you’re getting ready with your best friend, you should definitely check out Lewys’ channel.

Nikki Lilly

For the worlds most wholesome content, you absolutely need to check out Nikki Lilly. Despite being the youngest person on our list, Nikki has made a massively positive impact on the world already, with her makeup tutorials and popular covers never failing to make us feel fuzzy inside.

Like Emily, a lot of Nikki’s tutorials feature drugstore makeup products, which (thankfully for us) make her videos really easy to follow! We absolutely adore her morning routine video – it sets out the perfect start to our day.  Her constant positivity makes her videos very bingeable, and we find them to be the perfect cure for lockdown sadness. If you’re looking for a positive view on the sometimes dramatic beauty community, Nikki is the channel for you.

Strashme

Last, but most definitely not least, you need to check out Ashley Strong. We recently discovered Ashley through James Charles “Instant Influencer” contest, and we instantly fell in love.

Ashley’s insanely vibrant and eye catching glam won her the Instant Influencer crown, and we can most certainly see why. Our favourite look of hers is hard to choose, but her casting look for instant influencer is certainly up there. Although she has gained a massive following since the competition, we still think that Ashley is incredibly underrated and definitely one to watch.
