Sam is taking a look back at “old photos, videos, you know, The Good Times.”
Sam Carr has coupled his incredible cinematic shots with the music of Harry Seaton in his new home film The Good Times. Opening the video Sam says he wanted to “check in” to “see how you were doing during this weird time that the world is in”. During lockdown, he shares he’s been “reminiscing quite a lot about old times” which led to this video.
Summer Nights by Harry Seaton plays over the montage of memories. From Disneyland to Graduation to Universal Studios to a pumpkin patch, these beautifully presented clips feature many of the friends Sam has shared these adventures with including Becky James and Shannon Royal.
“I can’t believe we’ve been in lockdown now for like two months,” Sam exclaims with footage of previous months still rolling. “I’m not gonna lie, I do feel myself going a little bit insane,” he says after the realisation that he hasn’t been anywhere in two months. Having the old footage of these memories has “really helped me get through it” he shares.
The cinematic adventures continue with more friends, the Statue of Liberty, a Taylor Swift concert and the stunning sky out of various plane windows. “I think the uncertainty of it all just makes me appreciate this so much more. Appreciate the memories. Appreciate all the good times that we’ve already had.” This is the message of his video for the audience, some of who may see themselves featured in clips of conventions and meet-ups.
“Let’s do it again when this is all over” Sam says, “Let’s get back out there. Let’s go see the world.” He finishes over the staggering visuals of the Eiffel Tower and New York skyline, “Let’s have more good times. Let’s do it!”
Sam closes the video simply with “Stay safe. Stay healthy. See you soon. Lots of love, Sam x”.
