Instant Influencer debuted on 24 April.
The show is the first beauty YouTuber James Charles has hosted and is amongst the many new YouTube Originals series to be released amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The series sees six contestants – Benny Cerra, Gabriel Garcia, Christian Perez, Ashley Strong, Britany Renteria and Kailin Chase – competing for the grand prize. Along with getting to collaborate with James on his channel, they will also receive $50,000 and a $10,000 lighting and videography package.
The first episode of Instant Influencer was streamed on James’ channel and reached over 200,000 concurrent viewers. As of publishing, it has been watched over 4.7 million times.

The episode saw the contestants tasked with creating and editing a beauty product reveal, for which they were judged by James; president of Anastasia Beverly Hills, Norvina; and guest judge, Paris Hilton.
After some deliberation, Kailin was crowned the winner.
