YouTubers Try Out Trends They Saw On TikTok

TikTok is taking over!

In a rise we don’t think we’ve seen before, TikTok has been taking over the social media landscape. From notable Hollywood names and television characters, to your everyday person, everyone and their mother has downloaded the app and begun making bite-sized content for us to digest on the daily. It’s constantly evolving, with new fads and trends appearing every couple of days, and we find ourselves sometimes struggling to keep up!

While some have been a bit hostile toward TikTok’s rise within the social media sphere, many of our YouTube faves have embraced it, creating their own accounts and uploading videos. Some have even brought the two together by trying out hacks and trends they’ve discovered on the app. In fact, so many have done so that we felt it time to give them some love.

Here are just a few of the YouTubers who have tried out some of TikTok’s craziest trends!

I TESTED POPULAR TIKTOK BEAUTY PRODUCTS | sophdoeslife

One genre that’s taking over TikTok is beauty, which means a ton of our favourite YouTube gurus have begun sharing their makeup and fashion know-how with those who use the app. While some offer up tips on how to get the perfect brows or the best contour, others let us know of miracle products we absolutely need to try – but do they actually work? Thankfully, we have Sophie from sophdoesnails to test them out for us.

Sophie tries out a couple of different makeup and beauty products in this video, but the one we can’t stop focusing on is that face mask. While we know Sophie ended up liking it and has said she’ll most likely use it again, we can’t help but focus on the fact that it can damaged your skin if used incorrectly and that it burns and itches! We guess that’s why they say beauty is pain. (That is what they say, right?)

Testing Viral TikTok Hacks | lookingforlewys

If there’s one person we can trust to give us the brutal, honest truth about anything, it’s Lewys Ball. He’s not one to mince his words, so when we saw he was willing to test out some viral TikTok facts, we knew the results would be genuine.

Firstly, Lewys tries out the famous TikTok iced coffee, which he immediately puts us off of by saying it looks like “rabies”. (So appetizing.) Things unfortunately don’t get any better from there. After an attempt to make henna freckles with self-tanner (he didn’t have any henna handy) and ruining his clothes with bleach, we think it’s safe to say these hacks were a fail. But, hey, at least we had fun in the process!

We Followed A TikTok Food Recipe | Webb Brothers

One thing we’re finding ourselves missing during lockdown is fast food. We didn’t realise how much we loved the likes of McDonald’s, Dominos and Wagamama until we weren’t able to get it regularly. (Yes, we know we can get it delivered, but we’re the type of people who like to browse the menu in person.) Thankfully, there are those who understand our plight and have worked to create some at-home alternatives to our favourite greasy foods!

In this video, Harrison and Anderson Webb follow a TikTok recipe for homemade Chicken McNuggets – AKA, the holy grail of fast food. Anyone who’s had a McNugget knows how good they are, so is it even possible for someone to come up with a recipe that captures that flavour? Well, as it turns out, not really, but it is a good alternative and something that’ll keep us going until we’re able to visit an actual McDonald’s restaurant!

Trying the TikTok Photoshoots!? | Anastasia’s Vlogs

Don’t lie: you’ve totally been using all your free time at home to star in your very own photoshoots. It’s okay, we’re not judging, because what else are you going to do to pass the time? But since you’re modelling like you’re a star on the runway in Milan, we thought we’d tell you about this TikTok hack that upgrades your photos and makes them look pretty cool.

As tested by Anastasia Kingsnorth, this hack involves your cellphone’s flashlight and a toilet paper roll. From there, you just need a dark room and the magic of photo-editing to create the most glamorous photos ever! Don’t believe us? Then we suggest you watch the video.

Trying VIRAL tiktok food hacks!! | Saffron Barker

Saffron Barker, like everyone else online, is currently obsessed with TikTok, and we can’t blame her! With so much to watch, it’s like a rabbit whole that goes on forever. In fact, her love for the app is so big that she decided to dedicate a whole video to some of the food hacks she’s come across. Prepare to get hungry.

Despite Saffron warning us that cooking isn’t her specialty, she manages to make some pretty delectable creations. From testing out a homemade Oreo mug cake, which makes our sweet tooth incredibly happy, to a spectacular egg sandwich, there are so many tasty foods to try, and we found our mouthes watering throughout the video! Who else is down for a TikTok-inspired feast?

Making whipped tiktok Coffee – Easter Edition! | AmazingPhil

It’s no surprise Phil Lester would try his hand at this delicious drink! He’s always had a sweet tooth and a love for anything that’s brightly coloured, so it comes as no surprise that he’d put his unique (and Easter-themed) spin on this classic iced coffee recipe.

One thing we’ve learnt through writing this article is that TikTok has an obsession with iced coffee. We can’t blame it, for we too have an addiction; we can’t help it, it’s just so dang delicious! But we digress… Phil’s adaption of this three-ingredient coffee is pretty great, including Mini Eggs, Peeps and mini marshmallows. We can already feel the cavities forming in our teeth!

TESTING VIRAL TIK TOK BEAUTY HACKS | Roxxsaurus

Roksana Janiszewksa is bringing us back to the beginning of her channel with this hack-testing video. For any OG Roxxsaurus fans, this will bring back memories of when she used to put beauty hacks to the test, which is why we know we can trust her to give us the truth on whether or not these hacks are worth our time.

Anyone who does their makeup knows how long it takes to make sure you’re looking snatched and ready for the day. It takes a lot of effort to look this good, so we’re always looking for tricks that could help us cut down the amount of time it takes. From nose contour to eyebrow magic, many hacks are put to the test in this video, and we thank Roksana for giving us her two-sense. We really appreciate it!

Two worlds are merging and we love it!

We love that so many of our YouTube faves are embracing TikTok and all it has to offer. There are so many amazing creators on the app and they’re making some pretty memorable content, and we hope to see more YouTubers jump onboard and give it a try.
