Please keep your arms and legs inside the ride vehicle at all times.
Although we’re all stuck at home and theme parks are closed at the moment, there is still a way to enjoy the magic. Thanks to the steady camera skills of channels like SoCal Attractions 360 and Theme Park POV, you can immerse yourself and get a front-row seat from the comfort of your armchair. If you haven’t found this niche subsection of YouTube yet, you’re in for a treat.
However, if you are planning on taking a trip to the parks once they re-open, be aware the selection of videos below are a little on the spoiler-heavy side. By which we mean they show you every single thing you can expect to see and experience on the rides. Okay? You have been warned. Now buckle in!
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance | Blog Mickey
Take a trip to a galaxy far, far away in the brand new Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ride at Walt Disney World Orlando. This brand new attraction only opened toward the end of 2019 and while at first we tried to avoid the spoilers, we’re so excited to go on the ride that we simply had to know what to expect.
Turns out it has EVERYTHING: Huge sets, the resistance, Kylo Ren, BB8. What more could you want in a ride?
Pirates of the Caribbean | SoCal Attractions 360
Dive under the sea in this immersive Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure ride at Disneyland Shanghai. While it’s unlikely many people on our side of the world will get a chance to ride it in person, this ride really would be worth the trip.
It pulls out all the stops, and although the original Pirates of the Caribbean ride has a special place in our heart, the Battle for the Sunken Treasure experience really steps it up a notch.
Symbolica | SoCal Attractions 360
Visit the enchanting palace of Symbolica, where nothing is as it seems and there is magic around every corner, a ride at Efteling Theme Park in the Netherlands. Although we hadn’t heard of this ride (or admittedly even the park) before finding this video, it’s absolutely amazing.
Apparently, a lot of trackless rides like this are made in the Netherlands and supplied to theme parks all over the world. (Including Disney for rides like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance!)
Mystic Manor | SoCal Attractions 360
Explore a mystifying museum where exotic artifacts from around the globe come to life right before your eyes in Mystic Manor at Disneyland Hong Kong. Another ride we weren’t previously familiar with, the tale of Mystic Manor is fascinating and comes to life in this thrilling ride.
It looks like another one that would definitely be worth the trip to see!
Jurassic World | Theme Park Tracker
Take a tour of the famous dinosaur park and come face-to-face with prehistoric creatures in the newly renovated Jurassic World ride at Universal Studios Hollywood. This one has been a staple of Universal Studios in Hollywood and Orlando for many years.
It was recently refurbished and now includes elements of the Jurassic World storyline, including a huge new water tank at the beginning of the ride, which is completely mesmerising. (And freaky.) It’s a ride that has always been close to our hearts and seeing it take on a new life in this way fills us with even more joy.
So there we have it…
