The Ellefson Youth Music Foundation is a non-profit organisation that raises money to help fund music programs across the United States, with an emphasis on rural areas, while also ensuring that students have access to the resources they need to advance in their music education.
As many schools across the US are closed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the foundation has launched mentoring sessions and private lessons for interested students, run by musicians within the industry. The fundraiser aims to help pay for the cost of such sessions and the logistical support needed to provide them and keep an online library on YouTube.
Any additional funds raised will go to the foundation’s other initiatives.
The live stream will air on the GRAMMY Music Education Coalition’s Twitch and Facebook pages, with a simulcast occurring on the Ellefson Youth Music Foundation’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Those wishing to donate or learn more about the fundraiser can do so via the official FundRazr page.
