The mobile-only streaming service launched on 6 April.
Quibi is the latest service to enter the streaming world, following the recent launches of Disney+ and Apple TV+. The app, which provides users with original content with a running time of 10 minutes or less, was founded by film producer Jeffrey Katzenberg.

Quibi is different from other streaming services in that it is only available via mobile, meaning subscribers will have to download its app in order to watch. Those who subscribe will be privy to exclusive content featuring the likes of Chrissy Teigen, Liam Hemsworth, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Sophie Turner, with other Hollywood directors and actors slated to premiere series in the near future.
During its launch, Quibi says it plans to uploaded new episodes of its exclusively series every weekday.
As of publishing, the streaming service is only available in Canada and the United States, with a wider release date yet to be announced. According to Sensor Tower, an app store intelligence firm, Quibi’s app was downloaded over 300,000 times on launch day, a figure bolstered by the fact it was available for pre-order prior to the 6 April release date.
