Yogscast creator Paul ‘Sjin’ Sykes has stepped down from the company following reports of inappropriate behaviour towards community members.
Paul announced his departure via the Yogscast subreddit two days ago.
In a statement, Yogscast founder Lewis Brindley said: “In the last few weeks I received a number of emails from community members who reported chatting with Sjin on various platforms between 2012 and 2015 with some more recently.
“What this boils down to is that I believe some members of the community have been made uncomfortable or upset – and I am sorry for this.
“It’s clear to me that Sjin has breached our code of conduct and after discussing this with him he has decided to take an extended break and will be leaving the Yogscast network,” he said.
Sjin is the third person to leave Yogscast in the past two months, after Matthew Meredith was dropped from the group following “serious allegations” around “his conduct with particular members of his audience”.
Last month Mark Turpin, the company CEO, left after admitting sending “inappropriate messages”.
