UK-based StudyTuber and self-proclaimed, “coffee lover” Eve Cornwell shares the motivation behind her latest project, the Millennial Coffee Club.
The club was designed with “sun-rise chasers and late candle burners” in mind. Limited edition items will be released in seasons, starting with an exclusive hoodie and coffee cup, available from 6 August 2019 on the Millennial Coffee Club (#MCC) website.
“I literally live in hoodies, so I also can’t wait to use the #MCC hoodie as my late-night grind cosy jumper”, shares Eve.
The club is aimed at the younger generation, millennials in particular, who, according to its website, are often labelled as “lazy, idealistic, unemployed and self-absorbed.”
“I hate labels”, states Eve, explaining how negative stereotypes of millennials can unfairly categorise them. “Young people are having to work under insane amounts of pressure that never previously existed” whether that be school, university or work. “Society has created wild standards of ‘success’,” she adds.
Eve hopes that the club will bring the younger generation together. “I wanted to create a community that celebrated the student hustle,” she shares, “and created a space that validated those extra hours you burn.”
She also highlights the importance of people coming together to support one another: “I want every member of #MCC to feel like they are part of a movement. Every time we hit a hurdle or doubt ourselves, we can be motivated and empowered by each other and our wider goals.”
So, what can we expect from the club in the future? “I really want the seasons to reflect the time of the year,” says Eve, “keep an eye out for some autumn and winter coffee necessities – #MCC style.”
