Does anyone have any bath water?
This week has been a strange one. Summer has finally hit the U.K. which means that there are too many people walking around shirtless but it also means that you need to stay hydrated!! Drink plenty of water everybody. However, we didn’t think that would be in the form of a ‘Girl Gamer’s’ bath water.
Internet what are we doing…
(Disclaimer: obviously don’t buy stranger’s bath water online and drink it! ARE YOU CRAZY?!)
Ermm… On with the Round-Up!
Should Non-LGBTQ+ People Go To Pride? | Jessica Kellgren-Fozard
Inspired by Penguin Books new Pride Book Club, Jessica Kellgren-Fozard indulges into the history of the Pride parade and the strides that have been made since that protest at Stonewall in 1969.
For those who ask ‘Is Pride still necessary?’, Jessica screams YES! Not only is Pride a celebration allowing those to freely be who they want to be but it is also a protest. We protest because (despite closed minded people thinking LGBT+ folk have gotten their rights so everyone should get on with it) even in the United Kingdom, a fairly progressive place, there are still many issues to overcome. And that isn’t even going into the countries where it is still ILLEGAL to be gay.
But just as importantly, Pride is a celebration and a time to remember the communities past. It is a time to remember the progress that has been made and remember the discrimination our ancestors had to endure. We must learn from our past and paint a better future.
How To Deal When Things Don’t Go To Plan | Chatty GRWM | Lucy Moon
Lucy Moon sits down to do a casual chitty video as she does her makeup and gets ready. We love these kinds of videos, they’re so relaxed and it’s like just having a gossip with one of your friends.
She talks through the experience of the last few months trying to move into her new flat. With such a big life change comes stress and having to deal with positive and negative change as well as dealing with things that go wrong.
It can drive you mad when you have a perfect plan mapped out on your head but nothing goes according to your dream. But with hurdles comes growth. You can use these difficulties to learn how to deal with bad things and be a more successful adult.
July Bookclub Book | VEDJ | Hannah Tay
Its Book Club time!!!
Hannah Tay hosts her own monthly book club on her channel. At the start of each month, she’ll announce the wonderful chosen book and then at the end of the month, the community can come together on her social media to discuss.
This month is an interesting pick, Bedknobs and Broomsticks by Mary Norton. While this book may only be small it is jam-packed with fantasy and adventure. You may recognise it from the popular Disney film of the same name so it will be really interesting to see where that story originated.
My Happiest Memory | Animated Storytime | ScarfDemon
All gather around the campfire as Chloe Dungate tells the most beautiful and inspiring story about samosas you will ever hear (although we can’t imagine you’ve heard many interesting stories about samosas anyway).
Chloe thinks back to what was single-handedly the best memory she has ever had. A memory so powerful it can defeat Dementors and will cause Peter Pan to come running to take her away to Neverland any second.
Was it her best friend’s wedding? No. Was it being the maid of honour? No. Was it the funky disco that followed? Almost but no. It was the beautiful experience she had smuggling a mountain of samosas out of the wedding, going back to a big fancy double hotel room, and eating all of the said samosas in bed. Ahh, paradise.
I’m nervous to go to pride in London | Embly
Emi Salida is known for being an asexual advocate and is constantly using her platform to promoting asexual identities and other LGBT+ issues. Today she talks about her worries at pride and her asexuality being erased.
Unfortunately, as asexuality is quite an unknown identity compared to others there is some controversy about it being included within the community. Obviously, every single member of the LBGT+ spectrum has a right to be apart of the community but that doesn’t banish the stigma and you’re own worries.
Emi discusses that because she is also bi-romantic, she thinks that her asexuality will be ignored at pride. But she wants to go there to not just celebrate her romantic orientation, but her asexuality too! We want to share how much we support you Emi along with every other asexual person and LGBT+ person going to pride or not. Celebrate yourself in the ways you feel comfortable and don’t let others decide who you are.

Emily Canham lets us live vicariously through her as she packs to go Disland Paris! Here at TenEighty, we have a guilty pleasure for watching pack-with-me videos, especially when it’s a travel destination that you are so desperate to go to. As we watch this video, we’re just making a mental list of what we would take when we eventually get out from behind the keyboard and go to see Mickey.
It’s time to share the love! We love giving small YouTubers a boost so we have to shoutout to A Beautiful Choas of Book who is doing the exact same thing to her favourite smaller booktubers! So if you need someone new to watch, check out this video.
