The Asics London 10K is set to occur on 21 July.
Carrie Hope Fletcher has announced she’ll be running the marathon alongside fellow performers Rebecca Ridout, Matt McDonald and Paul Bradshaw.
The group will be running in support of the London Musical Theatre Orchestra, which is the world’s only professional orchestra that’s dedicated to performing musical theatre shows. Through monthly play-throughs, the orchestra brings together professional and non-professional performers to practise a musical during the day and perform it in a private run-through in the evening.
Carrie, Paul, Matt and Rebecca met via one of these play-throughs in 2016, when they participated in a performance of A Christmas Carol.

Both Carrie and Rebecca have shared they’ll be running in their underwear during the marathon, in support of the #CelebrateYou campaign, which was started by Jada Sezer and Bryony Gordon. Through doing this, they hope to advocate for body confidence and positivity.
The group’s goal is to raise £1,200. Those wishing to donate can do so via the fundraiser’s Virgin Money Giving page.
