The podcast is the latest in a series of projects Hannah will be announcing throughout 2019.
Hannah Witton launched the Doing It podcast at the end of May and has since released two episodes, the debut with journalist and activist Scarlett Curtis and the second with fellow YouTuber Calum McSwiggan.

So why am I starting a podcast about sex? ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I love podcasts and I love talking about sex. Done. 😝 Okay, there is more to it than that… ⠀⠀ •⠀⠀ I started making sex ed videos on my YouTube channel in 2012 inspired by other sex educators & because I had a fascination with the topic & felt pretty comfortable talking about it. ⠀⠀ • ⠀⠀ I knew that wasn’t the case for a lot of people because of the shame & stigma that surrounds sex and most of my (very small) audience on YouTube at the time were young women and I’ve always truly believed “with great power comes great responsibility” and having people/strangers watch your videos & listen to what you have to say is a responsibility I take very seriously. I’ve always wanted to do good with the platform I have. • ⠀⠀ Fast forward and in 2017 I published my first book 📘“Doing It” all about sex & relationships for young adults. One of the things I did in that book was ask friends & experts to write guest pieces in it to share an experience or knowledge base different to mine. And that’s exactly what I want to do with this podcast. I’m just one person with one life experience but oh boy do I love having these conversations & learning about how other people relate to their bodies, navigate relationships, feel about their sexuality etc. ⠀⠀ • ⠀⠀ So this my chance to sit down with some wonderful guests, and your chance to listen to a wide variety of experiences of incredible people and really nerd out together about all things sex, relationships, dating & our bodies!⠀⠀ • ⠀⠀⠀ Join us for the ride! First episode with @scarcurtis comes out TOMORROW on all podcast platforms 🎧
According to Hannah, the podcast will be “about all things sex, relationships, dating and bodies”, with each new episode being released every Wednesday. As for why she started the podcast, in a recent Instagram post she shared it was because of her love for both podcasts and talking about sex.
The first episode with Scarlett sees the pair chatting about chronic pain, the miseducation around female masturbation, body acceptance and more, while her episode with Calum features a discussion around gay teens in Young Adult fiction and the availability of sex education.
Doing It is currently available on Global Player and other platforms that support podcasts.
