Simon’s Cat is amongst a host of online creators expanding their content to the mobile video app.
Simon’s Cat is a YouTube channel known for its comedic animated videos depicting a cat and its owner, Simon. In the month since joining TikTok, the account has gained over 600,000 followers and received more than 3.8 million hearts, making it one of the most successful cross-generational channels on the platform.
The addition of Simon’s Cat to TikTok follows that of Mr. Bean, who joined the app back in January. His joining the platform has since gone on to inspire the #MrBeanChallenge, which saw users trying their hand at the television character’s iconic dance moves.
Speaking about having both Mr. Bean and Simon’s Cat on the platform, TikTok’s Community Manager, Joanna Touqmatchi, said:

Since joining TikTok, Mr. Bean’s channel has grown to include over 860,000 followers and more than three million hearts.
