The BBC press office has announced new comedy series The Amelia Gething Complex, starring Amelia Gething.
Amelia Gething shared the news on Instagram that she is receiving her own CBBC sketch show The Amelia Getting Complex. The show will star Amelia herself, alongside other co-stars.
The comedy series follows Amelia, who lives with her two best friends Vinnie and Polly, and their neighbour Wallace. It’s been described as “fresh, aspirational and ambitious”, as the show will be high-energy and surreal with an “anarchic vibe”.
With inspiration drawn from The Mighty Boosh and Colleen Ballinger’s ‘Miranda Sings’, Amelia will break the fourth wall, talking to the audience at home, and showing the behind-the-scenes.
