Spring is here!
The clocks have gone forward and the flowers are beginning to bloom. This time of year can be so exciting, as everything seems new. But, most excitingly, we get to say goodbye to the gloomy, cold weather and hello to the sun… Or, at least, that’s what’s supposed to happen. It’s Britain. The weather is so unreliable that it could snow next week, but we can only hold out hope that the hot weather will soon be here to torture us.
On with the Round-Up!
Things Anxious People are Tired of Hearing | Recoveringsunset
All kinds of people can struggle with mental health issues, and since they’re mental, it’s pretty much impossible to tell who is dealing with them. Living with mental illness can make every day a struggle, especially the things that are supposed to be easy, like getting out of bed or socialising.
Laura Ivy shares some of the troubles she’s had living with anxiety and how it makes her act in certain situations. It isn’t an easy thing to live with, and the stigma and people not truly understanding what anxiety is don’t help.

In this very funny animation, she shares the dramatic story of this Turkish hotel that meant so much to her and her family and when it was sold to a big corporation. This led her down the path of crime for a day. She still has the rug to this day. That’s evidence, officer.
Early 2000s Makeover: Dying my hair, makeup, outfit! Paris Hilton? Never heard of her | Lovevie
Evie Clark has a bit of an obsession with the early 2000s. So much so that for this video she did a full makeover in order to make herself look like she’d dropped right out of the decade. The scary part about this is that she actually permanently dyed her hair for it. If that isn’t commitment, we don’t know what is!
(PS. If anyone owns a time machine that’ll let us travel back to the early 2000s, we’d really appreciate it if you’d let us borrow it. We miss our childhood.)
Mental Fatigue | Oliver Lam-Watson
Oliver Lam-Watson is a part of the wheelchair fencing team for Great Britain and has been tracking his progress of training and attending competitions in a series of vlogs. In this episode, he shows us what happens after a competition abroad. It’s the come down after the hype.
He talks about his struggles with fatigue in the video, as, although he’s getting more and more fitter, he is still pushing himself further and giving everything he has for the competitions. It really takes it out of you. We wish you the best of luck, Oliver, and hope to see you go on to great things!
