Yet another Netflix documentary has gripped the world.
This week, everyone grabbed their oversized magnifying glasses and became self-proclaimed detectives from the comfort of their sofas with the release of The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann. Everyone and their dog is trying to crack the decade-long case, but we think it’s best left to the professionals…
On with the Round-Up!
My Dogs 1st Birthday | VLOG | Christina Rotondo
Christina Rotondo‘s new vlog is the most adorable video – it makes us want to cry. She’s celebrating her dog’s first birthday in the best way and it’s truly the best thing.
She truly spoiled her little Theo with lots of presents and by going all out and baking him a dog-safe cake, topped off with his name written on it with dog chocolate. How cute! He truly was treated like a king on his birthday.
TRYING DIFFERENT SIZE 14 HIGHSTREET JEANS | Helen Anderson
Highstreet shops are known for being a pain when it comes to sizes. You can be a size eight in one store and a size 14 in another, and just when you think you’ve cracked the sizing problem in a store, you’ll try on a different style of clothing and discover it’s sized completely differently. This leads to us spending way too long when out clothes shopping.
Helen Anderson decided to take on the task to see how different shops vary in size when it comes to wardrobe staples, skinny jeans. Jeans are particularly tricky to shop for, depending on your body shape. It can be perfect in one area, but not in another. So when you find a pair that fits, just like Helen, you don’t stray to other stores. This experiment wasn’t just about finding which stores have accurate sizing, it pushed her out of her jeans comfort zone to find a new favourite.
What is YA? | Ariel Bissett
Young Adult is an ever-growing book genre, but have you ever stopped to ask what it is? It’s a very broad genre that encompasses a lot of novels and that makes the situation even more confusing.
Ariel Bissett dives deep into YA to truly discover the meaning. She not only looks at the books that consider themselves YA, but looks at the origin and history of the term. There is no YA without teenagers, yet most of those reading these books are no longer considered young adults. With that in mind, how can you begin to define it?
THE BEST DISNEY MOVIE MUSICALS! | Amy Lovatt
Disney musicals are our not-so-guilty pleasure. They’re something you can throw on to lift the mood and get you dancing around the house. In this video, Amy Lovatt shares her favourite musicals for any occasion.
She is a hardcore Disney Channel fan, so it’s only right that she mentions the best trilogy of all time, High School Musical. Her ranking goes High School Musical 3: Senior Year, High School Musical, then High School Musical 2. (Which is the only correct ranking.) While Amy’s dream of becoming a Disney star never played out, the magic and dreams still remain in these musicals.
