This past week was pretty uneventful…
We don’t know what it is, but after all the running around we did at VidCon London 2019 and the numerous awards shows that aired over the last few weeks, we were left feeling pretty “blah” over the past couple of days. We were waiting for something exciting to happen, but… Nothing. You’d think we’d be okay having a week of doing absolutely nothing, but then you obviously don’t know us too well. We here at TenEighty HQ live off the rush of our go, go, go lifestyles, so it felt weird to pause and smell the roses.
One of the things that kept us from dying of boredom was Twitter. We found ourselves spending the majority of our time scrolling through our timeline, entertaining ourselves with the random and hilarious things our favourite YouTubers had to say. Given we had so much time to spend on the site, we feel we’ve outdone ourselves with this edition of Tweets of the Week. Don’t believe us? Then you better get reading!
It’s that time again, when @doddleoddle returns home from tour, bringing with her whatever gross fucking illness she picked up on the road. Good times.
— Hazel Hayes (@TheHazelHayes) March 3, 2019
What Hazel Hayes‘ is actually saying with this tweet is “I’m very excited for my awesome roommate dodie to be returning home from tour! It doesn’t matter if I get sick, because I’m just happy she’s coming home.”
Who doesn’t love brunch?!

Amy Lovatt is basically us whenever someone mentions unlimited breakfast food. Bacon, eggs, pancakes – what could be better?!
Did you know?
The average person produces 730 litres of saliva a year.
That’s enough for 2 swimming pools over a lifetime!
— Friend Jamie (@JamieLRutter) February 28, 2019
Leave it to Jamie Rutter to fill us in on the facts we never thought we needed to know.
Only anti-social people truly understand
me: hates going out, hates socialising with people
also me: sits in on a saturday night feeling lonely & sorry for myself
— Sam Carr 🌴 (@saamcarr) March 2, 2019
Ugh, we feel this hardcore, Sam Carr! We hate spending time with people, yet equally hate finding ourselves sitting at home alone on the weekend. It’s a paradox.
We NEED to know what happens
Do I like Riverdale? No.
Do I still watch it every time a new episode is up out of pure curiousity?Absolutely.
— Lizzie (@lizziebarnettx) February 28, 2019
Same with us, Lizzie Barnett. We stopped caring about Riverdale after the first series, yet we can’t seem to stop watching! We simply NEED to know what happens! (We’re trash, we know.)
HOW DARE YOU
As an American I find it weird that so many British people go bowling with bumpers up as default. That’s like using training wheels for a bike. Literally only there for kids where I’m from
— Evan Edinger (@EvanEdinger) February 28, 2019
We feel personally attacked by this tweet, Evan Edinger. How dare you call us out like that!
A passion for cereal

You just got served, Jacob Trueman, and by your own mum at that!
Literally the worst
One of the sadest moments is when you bite into a slice of pizza and the whole topping comes off in one go 😑
— 🍥Synthpop Circus🍥 (@synthpopcircus) March 1, 2019
There is literally nothing worse than this, Sammy Scott! Takes the joy out of eating pizza, if we’re being honest.
Love is in the air
I SAID YES!!! 🙈💍 Matt proposed to me under these beautiful northern lights in Iceland which is one of our first holidays together, so romantic! I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend and partner in crime! ❤️❤️❤️ pic.twitter.com/tvFWxm95Zo
— Roxxsaurus (@Roxxsaurus) March 3, 2019
We want to say a huge congratulations to Roksana Janiszewksa and her fiancé Matt on their engagement! We wish them a lifetime of happiness. Also, can we talk about how gorgeous these engagement photos are? The Northern Lights must have been absolutely breathtaking!
