Because we’re all a little nosy.
What’s the first thing you do when you visit someone’s house for the first time? You look around and try to sniff out their secrets, that’s what. If you’re anything like us, you scope out their bookshelves and mug collection while trying to resist the urge to open any drawers to see what’s inside. So what happens when our favourite YouTubers give us a tour of their houses? Well, let’s just say we go a little bit nutty.
Here they are, our Five of the Best: House Tours!
The Flat Tour & Interior Improvement Ideas | The Anna Edit
Bright, modest and full of stunning plants, it’s the ultimate of aesthetic goals. You can see how much of a passion project this is for Anna and her husband. Equal parts obsessed with skincare and food, we adore the bathrooms and kitchen – something we share with Anna who said the kitchen is one of her favourite parts of the flat. (We can’t blame her.)
HOUSE TOUR! | HelloOctoberxo
After announcing she was planning to move, Suzi Bonaldi gives us a little insight into her home, MTV Cribs style, and we have to say we are here for it. The video is interior heaven, filled with great little bits and pieces you need in your house to make it a home. There are candles, poofs and cute cutlery galore.
We loved how uniquely Suzi this home tour was. It was unfiltered, uncut and made us laugh every five minutes. What more could we wish for?
My Bedroom Tour! | Kate La Vie
Instagram interiors queen Kate Spiers takes us through her home, one room at a time. As students/young professionals living in shared houses, the one which caught our eye first was the tour of her bedroom.
Kate gives us a real insight into the small details that can make a bedroom special. From the colours of the bed to the shape of the bedside table, it can really make a difference to the overall look of the room. (Trust us, we’re from London, so we know.)
NEW HOUSE TOUR! | Weekly Vlog #57 | Katie Snooks
Combining moving with a tour of her new house, Katie Snooks shows us what it takes to make an empty house feel like a home. Taking us through all the rooms in the house, she lets us in on her and her housemate’s plans for the rooms.
It has a really London homely vibe to it, which we love, and gives you an insight into the things to consider if you’re planning to move into a house with friends. Now, where is our phone? There are some friends we need to call.
LONDON FLAT TOUR! | Emily Canham
After letting us in on the news she’s moved to London, Emily Canham takes us through her temporary London flat. As she says, it’s small and great for someone who, like Emily, is living on their own.
Along with some great ideas on how to add personal touches to a confined space, we love the pop of colour running through the flat. Between the ketchup in the kitchen, to the pink cushions and teal desk chairs, we basically want to live and work there with Emily.
So there you have it…
Our Five of the Best: Home Tours! We don’t know about you, but we have major home envy. Who else is planning a trip to HomeSense and Ikea? We know, we are. Our bank accounts won’t be happy after we’re done. (But our homes will be!)
