Phandom Gives organised the fundraiser in honour of Phil Lester’s 32nd birthday, which was on 30 January.
The JustGiving page has raised £5,600.43 of its £6,000 target. Phil expressed his gratitude on Twitter:
Also again this is the best present I could ask for! Big ❤️ to all donators for @MakeAWishUK https://t.co/3MqA9aq6kK
— Phil Lester (@AmazingPhil) January 30, 2019
Donations began at £1 and everyone who donated £2 or more by January 30 got the chance to win Dan and Phil merch, including an AmazingPhil Fox Sweater and Dan and Phil Pixel People T-shirt. Donations over £10 were entered in a giveaway for signed Dan and Phil posters.
Phandom Gives is an initiative started by a group of Dan and Phil viewers, who raise money for charities to honour their favourite YouTubers. In 2018, they raised almost £10,000 for Young Minds for Daniel Howell‘s 27th birthday.
The prizes have now been drawn, but the fundraiser page is still open for donations.
