We’re halfway through January.
Is it just us or does 2019 already feel different than previous years? There’s something in the air that’s making us feel as if anything is possible and that we have the ability to make some of our goals a reality over the next 365 days. It’s a pretty good feeling, and we’re hoping it’s not temporary because we intend on making this year OURS. (And no one is going to stop us.)
We think one of the reasons why we have a good feeling about 2019 is because our Twitter feed has been filled with such positivity. We’ve seen very few negative tweets as of late and it’s really helping our mood. It’s also helping to ensure we have more than enough content to fill our Tweets of the Week articles. This time around, we’re highlighting everything from people called Russell Sprout to some pretty strong feelings about OutKast’s Ms. Jackson.
Let’s jump into it!
Don’t you ever give up
Never, ever give up. pic.twitter.com/7nUpUSIuFj

This tweet from Jack Dean shows what happens when you persevere and don’t give up on your dreams.
The face you make when…
The face I make when I see Bourbon biscuits pic.twitter.com/3mLmsJB2oR
— Kelsey Ellison ⚡️ (@KelseyEllison) January 12, 2019
To be honest, Kelsey Ellison, that’s the exact same face we make whenever we see any type of food, and we don’t think there’s a more loving look!
Gummy bears + Bring Me The Horizon = perfection

We laughed at this for longer than we probably should have, Yasmine Summan.
Talk about awkward situations
Update: I was in this limbo for a good hour, it was painful but we survived and now have a functioning washing machine HELLO TWO WEEKS OF LAUNDRY
— Penny Kate Starr (@Starrlett20) January 11, 2019
Ugh, we’re feeling the awkward just reading these tweets, Penny Starr! We’ve been there and it’s one of the most painful experiences EVER.
We’re sure it was accidental…
i just made 3 days worth of pasta so i wouldn't have to cook for the next few nights and then ???? accidentally ???? ate ???? all of it ???? what am i like x
— Jack Edwards (@jackbenedwards) January 9, 2019
Saying you “accidentally” ate three days worth of pasta is like saying you accidentally spent an hour petting the cute doggo you saw walking in the park, Jack Edwards. We all know it was totally intentional.
The Russell Sprout saga
Ok so I have this really strong memory of my brother having a childhood friend called ‘Russell Sprout’
— Phil Lester (@AmazingPhil) January 8, 2019
So I texted my brother who categorically denied this and now thinks I am even weirder than he already thought pic.twitter.com/hiACqT5Hyd
— Phil Lester (@AmazingPhil) January 8, 2019
Alright I texted my mum just to be sure, and she denies all knowledge too. Surely she’d remember a child called RUSSEL SPROUT in her house?? pic.twitter.com/BhmBfGl8YD
— Phil Lester (@AmazingPhil) January 8, 2019
If this never happened, then why have I had this memory my whole life? Are my family continuing the prank? Is he an alien that wiped everyone’s memory and now he’ll hunt me down? Did someone put drugs in my cereal?? I guess I’ll never know if Russell Sprout is really out there.
— Phil Lester (@AmazingPhil) January 8, 2019
Was anyone else completely invested in Phil Lester‘s search for Russell Sprout? We’re hoping beyond hope he’s a real person and not just someone Phil made up!
OutKast or get out of here
i dont consider myself to have a type but if they don’t appreciate the 2000’s masterpiece that is ms. jackson by outkast ? It Is Not Happening Sis!!!!!!!!!
— waschbär [german for racoon: 'wash bear'] (@majaanushka) January 12, 2019
We really can’t argue with this tweet from Maja Anushka. Anyone who doesn’t appreciate how good a song Ms. Jackson is really doesn’t deserve any of our time.
Why were we festive in the first place?
so cute how removing the christmas tree scatters pine needles all over your house so every time you get an excruciating stabbing pain in your bare foot you’re reminded of festivity
— Daniel Howell (@danielhowell) January 8, 2019
Leave it to Daniel Howell to remind us why Christmas trees, while absolutely gorgeous during the holiday season, are actually devils in disguise, waiting to hurt our feet and ruin our day.
Talk about CRAZY
Only shot I’ve ever had is when I felt cRaZy and mixed a bit of Diet Coke with Fanta to see what it tasted like
— Ebony Day (@ebonyday1) January 10, 2019
Whoa, remind us of this tweet the next time we decide to invite Ebony Day to one of our parties. Diet Coke and Fanta? That girl is FAR too crazy for us!
Ugh, taxes
Me, to myself, doing my taxes pic.twitter.com/9rFtKzEOAK
— Eddie Bowley (@Eddache_) January 8, 2019
We’re pretty sure this tweet from Eddie Bowley explains everyone’s mood when it comes to tax season… We’re absolutely dreading having to do ours – it’s so taxing!
