The Business Of Influencers board will launch in 2019 and aims to support both businesses and creators.
The Business Of Influencers (BOI) board will serve as an advisory committee to agencies, brands, start-ups, and creators, connecting both businesses and individuals within the influencer marketing industry.
“As this exciting industry develops at pace, it will be crucial for us to maintain a collective voice,” comments BOI founder Ian Shepherd.
Also on the board are Liam Chivers, Founder of OP Talent, Ben Jeffries, Co-Founder of Influencer alongside Caspar Lee, Harry Hugo, Co-Founder at Goat, Laura Edwards, Co-Founder and Director of Viral Talent, and Ana Thorsdottir, Head of Influencer Marketing at Mediacom.
In addition to special events, research and educational courses, the key focus of the board in 2019 will be to establish a clear set of principles and guidelines for influencer marketing campaigns, which creators and businesses can follow.
“As creators, it’s really important for us to have a body that ensures we are heard but also helps us collaborate with brands and agencies more effectively on their business goals,” Alastair Aiken (Ali-A) remarks. “I’m excited to see the BOI take influencer marketing to the next level.”
