This year’s celebration of all things YouTube has officially become the site’s most disliked video of all time.
YouTube Rewind 2018: Everyone Controls Rewind had only been on the platform for three days when it became the second most disliked video behind Justin Bieber’s Baby music video.
However within a few more days the video has now become the most disliked video in the site’s history with over 10 million dislikes in comparison to its 2 million likes; meaning over 82% of viewers expressed their displeasure.

Many viewers have criticised this year’s Rewind for excluding some of the top YouTubers, namely Felix ‘PewdiePie’ Kjellberg, Logan Paul and JJ ‘KSI’ Olatunji, and failing to acknowledge some of the site’s largest events such as KSI and Logan’s amateur boxing match in August that was streamed by over 800,000 people.

However, Thomas ‘TomSka’ Ridgewell came to defend the recap and even claimed to like the video.
You know what? I liked this. It knew that it couldn’t please everyone and ran with that. It focussed on a small handful of creators, tried it’s best to be self aware, didn’t push any particular agenda, and didn’t overstay it’s welcome. I think this was a good one 🤷♀️ https://t.co/QWA0L35OC6

Others have praised that it brings the good of the community to light and shines a spotlight on more of the international and lesser known YouTubers.
PSA YouTube rewind 2018 was not that bad of a video, people are just looking for something to be upset with to bring meaning to their pathetic little lives. Honestly set forth a good message and brought light to a lot of things that I have been kind of glossed over lately on(1/4)
