THE NEW AVENGERS TRAILER HAS BEEN RELEASED.
Is anyone else still reeling from the release of the Avengers: Endgame trailer? We’ve easily watched it over a 100 times and we still don’t think it’s properly sunk in yet. While it didn’t give away much, if anything, of what happens in the film – which we think is a damn good move on Marvel‘s part – it’s still left us feeling unfathomable amounts of anticipation. Don’t believe us, come to the office and look at the goosebumps we still have from our first watch-through.
To celebrate the release of the film’s trailer and to help build anticipation for its release, Twitter users from across the globe have embarked on a new trend: naming the film themselves! While Endgame is a pretty good name, we think our fave YouTubers can do better. Here’s what they’ve come up with.
The best Christmas present
Avengers 4: The Santas are Coming https://t.co/76z2gsgQ55
— Connie Glynn (@connieglynn) December 9, 2018
The release of the new Avengers trailer was pretty much the best Christmas present we could have asked for, Connie Glynn!
Want anything from the shops?
Avengers 4: On My Way Home. Want Anything From The Shops? https://t.co/LaIbg249MN
— Eddie Bowley (@Eddache_) December 8, 2018
We don’t think there could be a more “dad” title, Eddie Bowley.
Potatoes
Avengers 4: 🥔🥔🥔 https://t.co/LIXkMR0urU
— Hazel Hayes (@TheHazelHayes) December 8, 2018
This is actually the title for the Irish release of the new Avengers movie. Way to spoil it, Hazel Hayes!
Pretty accurate
Avengers 4: Who else is there? https://t.co/jRHyqTdCJH
— Jack Howard (@JackHoward) December 8, 2018
We think this is the most accurate of all the suggested titles, Jack Howard.
…dude
Avengers 4: Night mom. Sleep well.
….dude https://t.co/ZW6Z70eNj8
— Ebeneezer Goode (@RageNineteen) December 9, 2018
What a caring and touching title.
…dude.
We’re not going to be okay
Avengers 4. You ok? https://t.co/8ziP1KPFAI
— Krystal-Bella Shaw (@krystalbellax) December 8, 2018
This is what we expect our friends to be asking us upon leaving the theatre, Krystal-Bella Shaw.
Get tested
Avengers: Hey I know we haven’t spoken in a while and I’m so sorry this is how I break that silence but I just got tested for the first time in ages and it would be a very good idea for you to do the same because it seems that girl we met in calais wasn’t as “intacte” as she clai https://t.co/drs3yqr3sw
— Thomas ‘TomSka’ Ridgewell (@thetomska) December 9, 2018
This doesn’t sound like it’ll end well for anyone involved, Tom Ridgewell…
This isn’t going to end very well
Avengers 4: ah fuck https://t.co/a70ayWZgfV
— rosianna, a plain but ambitious girl (@RosiannaRojas) December 8, 2018
We’d bet our last dollar that this is what many of the film’s characters will be thinking throughout the film, given how Infinity War ended. Don’t you agree, Rosianna Halse Rojas?
So that was an interesting movie
Avengers 4: oh… okay https://t.co/4Qew0mKWz8
— JAMIE JO (@BananaJamana) December 8, 2018
We’re sure this is what many people are going to be thinking upon watching the movie, Jamie Jo.
Daddykins
Avengers 4: Given any more thought to what you might want for crimbo, daddykins https://t.co/E8Og4MCHEW
— Jacob Trueman (@TheJacobTrueman) December 9, 2018
Jacob Trueman always leaves us with more questions than answers. We’re currently wondering if “daddykins” refers to his father or someone else… On second thought, we’d rather not know.
Avengers meets Smash Bros.
Avengers 4: Part of Smash Bros. charm is using the things that you’re already limited to, to make a unique situation (y’know, like playing with toys) and I like that. https://t.co/wTN5Pk21OD
— Daniel Dobbs (@Daniel_Dobbs) December 9, 2018
It’s easy to tell that Daniel and Dean Dobbs are related, considering how obsessed they are with Smash Bros.
The lengths we’ll go for biscuits
Avengers: i’m on the verge of putting clothes on to go buy biscuits https://t.co/g3pdXG1ZPg
— angela (@angelaainnes) December 9, 2018
We’re glad to see we aren’t the only ones who will consider getting ready in order to buy some biscuits. Tea just isn’t the same without them, is it, Angela Innes?
Are you breaking up with us?
Avengers: I’m sorry to do this by text but I think it’s for the best. You’re just so emotionally wrapped up in your work – it feels like I only get the parts of you that are left over. I don’t think I have it in me to fix us. I’ve moved on and I hope you’re able to do the same. https://t.co/ExLupKojWH
— Sammy Paul (@ICOEPR) December 9, 2018
We’re not quite sure what to say to this, Sammy Paul… This went from zero to 60 real quick.
So there you have it…
How our favourite YouTubers would name the upcoming Avengers movie. Want to know what we’d name it? Avengers: I’m good at tapping into the young, hip teen mind. (Yes, that is a legit text we’ve sent.) Doesn’t have as nice a ring to it as Endgame, does it? It’s probably a good thing we weren’t actually charged with naming the movie.
