Another week, another bunch of tweets to collect.
It’s time of everyone’s favourite TenEighty series: Tweets of the Week! As with previous weeks, we here at the magazine’s HQ have scoured the depths of Twitter (and entered places so dark that even those with the strongest of wills dare not enter) and found the best of the best, the cream of the crop, the stars of the show… Okay, okay, we’ll stop. We’re assuming you get the idea. The following tweets are pretty much guaranteed to make you laugh or, at the very least, smile. Who knows, they might even make you audibly “awe” over how cute they are, just like the tweet we have kicking things off.
Without further ado, let’s jump into it!
OMG, SO CUTE
— Electra Snow ❄️ (@ElectraSnow) November 28, 2018
We can’t get over how cute Electra Snow‘s cat looks in this photo! This is how we demand to be photographed from now on, surrounded by tinsel with a ring light to accentuate our gorgeous eyes.
The joys of the holidays
we put dan through the christmas tree machine pic.twitter.com/B4qF8i7ya6
— dodie (@doddleoddle) December 1, 2018
We’re honestly left without words to describe how iconic this tweet is. We thank dodie for sharing these images with the world, and we thank Daniel J. Layton for allowing his friends to put him through one of those Christmas tree machines.
I’VE NEVER KNOWN A TRUER HELL
HELLO IF UR SETTING UP UR CHRISTMAS TREE TODAY BE CAREFUL BECAUSE I JUST POKED MY EYE OUT WITH A GLITTERY TREE AND IVE NEVER KNOWN A TRUER HELL pic.twitter.com/NqklksdFhs
— 𝖊𝖒𝖔 𝖒𝖔𝖒 (@YasmineSumman) December 1, 2018
Finally, someone else who understands the pain we go through while putting up our office Christmas tree, Yasmine Summan. Each year without fail we manage to either poke ourselves in the eye or do something else that results in us experiencing quite a bit of pain.
Showing the love

The washing machine dream
i dreamt there were more people living in my house and the washing machine would never be free and it stressed me out so much i woke up
— Izzie Naylor (@izzienaylor) December 2, 2018
It’s dreams like this that make us very aware that we’re adults having to deal with very stressful adult things, Izzie Naylor. Kids and teenagers never dream of this kind of stuff!
Who actually eats the Bounty bars?
Are u a loser if you eat the bounty’s in celebrations? Asking for a friend
— Lucy Flight 💛 (@lucyflight) December 1, 2018
To answer your question, Lucy Flight: Yes, yes, you are.
You mean the dance…
So I finally learnt to floss and I hurt my ankle in the process… 0 sympathy from my SO, he said "leave it to the kids"
— Alex Bertie (@Alex_Bertie) December 1, 2018
We’re including this for the simple fact we thought Alex Bertie had just learnt how to floss his teeth, so we were totally confused as to how he could have hurt his ankle in the process. Then we realized he was talking about the dance… Are we showing our age yet?
Instagram went there
loving instagram’s new reality check feature! pic.twitter.com/cSBFpzsYjz
— zannah (@zannah_perrins) December 1, 2018
Damn, who knew Instagram could be so shady, Zannah Perrins!
The mysterious shower drain creature
I swear a growl just came from beneath my shower plug. If this is my final tweet then I was eaten by a mutant sewer alligator
— Phil Lester (@AmazingPhil) November 30, 2018
Are you sure it’s a mutant sewer alligator and not that really weird yodelling pickle you bought, Phil Lester?
A sultry dog photoshoot
We're dogsitting a pug this weekend
I gave her a sultry photoshoot pic.twitter.com/e8EJAsweHV
— ˗ˏˋ niki ˊˎ˗ (@NikiAlbon) December 1, 2018
Are you even dogsitting correctly if you don’t set up an extra special photoshoot for the dog in question? We’ll definitely be contacting Niki Albon if we ever need someone to babysit the office pup.
So there you have it…
