“One can never have enough socks. Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn’t get a single pair. People insist on giving me books.”
The holiday season is upon us, which can only mean one thing: #HogwartsInTheSnow is back, dazzling wizards and muggles alike with the beauty of winter. From the snow-covered roofs of Hogwarts Castle to the sights and sounds of Diagon Alley, Warner Bros. Studios has been transformed into a winter wonderland, and we’re desperately awaiting our invite via owl. (Which we’re hoping comes any day now.)
To celebrate the event’s launch, many of our favourite YouTubers were invited to a special night filled with tons of magical experiences, including all the butterbeer they could drink and ample photo opportunities. Whether they be from Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, everyone in attendance was in the mood for a good time – and the social media posts prove that.
We really hope that owl didn’t get lost on its way to our office…
The excitement was building
Time for the annual pilgrimage to #HogwartsInTheSnow!! This one says I'm dressed like a Muggle Studies professor 😐⚡️ pic.twitter.com/TxfYxBBGW5
— Liam Dryden (@LiamDrydenEtc) November 20, 2018
I’m on my way to @wbtourlondon for #HogwartsInTheSnow ❄️ I’m wearing my full Hogwarts uniform including robes… no regrets!
— Cherry Wallis (@CherryWallis) November 20, 2018
Liam Dryden and Cherry Wallis weren’t the only ones excited about what the night would bring. Cherry was so excited she even went in her Hogwarts robes! Way to embody the Hogwarts spirit!
What a look!
I went to see #HogwartsInTheSnow and they said “The theme is silver and white” so I went “Cool, I’ll go as boho maybe dark wizard” and this is what I came up with.
Just a casual lean. Will he attack Ollivander? Will he get an ice cream at Florian’s? Who knows. pic.twitter.com/PFEpGPC756
— Daniel J. Layton (@DanielJLayton) November 20, 2018
Has anyone else really been feeling Daniel J. Layton‘s style as of late? We especially love this look. Is he a dark wizard or simply a member of the Weird Sisters? We’ll let you be the judge.
All aboard the Hogwarts Express
Mischief managed!
Thanks for having me @wbtourlondon for an amazing Yule Ball! Just jumping on the Hogwarts Express now… #HogwartsInTheSnow pic.twitter.com/yBciD2vlph

Niki: you need to look more animated

— Sammy 🍑 (@SammyAlbon) November 20, 2018
We’re not going to lie, we’re kind of salty that Niki and Sammy Albon have received their letters to Hogwarts, while we’ve spent countless summer’s looking up at the sky, waiting for the owl that has our own.
Hey, do you two think you could speak to the Headmaster for us?
So many bubbles
trying to eat bubbles is harder than it looks.
…they had flavoured bubbs at #HogwartsInTheSnow! ❄️ pic.twitter.com/AXBci9FiUG— Hannah (@HannahSnow) November 20, 2018
Is there anything more magical than flavoured bubbles? We’re dying to know what flavour they were, Hannah Snow!
0% crimes? We don’t know about that…
50% fantastic 50% beast 0% crimes pic.twitter.com/BnJi17vtmQ
— Evan Edinger (@EvanEdinger) November 20, 2018
We don’t know about you, but that’s not the face of someone who’s committed “0% crimes”. Just what are you hiding, Evan Edinger?
A family affair
Brought my sister to her first #HogwartsInTheSnow and I’m so happy. pic.twitter.com/Y5UOLdAY9l

Amazing time at #HogwartsInTheSnow. Thanks for having us @wbtourlondon ❄️✨🏰 #lookatthosewonkyglasses pic.twitter.com/lOdpi1AhoY
— brummymummyof2 (@brummymummyof2) November 20, 2018
Everyone knows the world of Harry Potter has the ability to bring everyone together, including families. Elisa Spigariol was kind enough to bring her sister along to last night’s event, while Emma Conway brought her adorable children. OMG, we can’t handle the cuteness!
Butterbeer for everyone!
Finally got a butterbeer in my hand! @wbtourlondon 🍺 🎄 #HogwartsInTheSnow pic.twitter.com/5LxuoVSv0A
— The Luna Diaries (@thediaryofluna) November 20, 2018
This tweet from The Luna Diaries has reminded us how much we want need to try butterbeer!
Is there a spell for that?
The end of a night at Hogwarts during which @hannahwitton presented me with socks so I could be free of high heel pain (I promise my monthly vlog will be much prettier than this manky photo) 💚 pic.twitter.com/DRtWlVtwP3
— Melanie Murphy (@melaniietweets) November 20, 2018
There has to be a spell out there to help those who have to deal with the pain of wearing high heels, like Melanie Murphy. If anyone knows one, feel free to drop her a tweet!
A magical evening was had by all!
Such a lovely evening at #HogwartsInTheSnow with @wbtourlondon ❄️☃️ so nice to see @beauty_spectrum and @fabuloushannahh too ❤️❤️❤️❤️ pic.twitter.com/zoKU5psMNQ

What a night at #HogwartsInTheSnow! Lovely to see lots of friends & experience the magic of Harry Potter together. Thank you @wbtourlondon for a wonderful time! pic.twitter.com/ezUM4ee505
— Gary C (@oohgaryc) November 20, 2018
Overall, it looks like a magical and whimsical time was had by all! We’re glad everyone who attended, wizard and muggle alike, had such a good time. We’re not going to lie though, all these tweets, including these two from Eve Bennett and Gary C, have us feeling some major FOMO!
Is that Hedwig’s Theme we hear playing in the distance?
We don’t know about you, but this article has us itching to dig out our Harry Potter books and give the series another read through. Sure, we can’t attend #HogwartsInTheSnow ourselves, but we can do the next best thing: immerse ourselves in the adventures and magic of the Wizarding World, through the stories told by JK Rowling herself!
