Six Times Marc Zapanta’s Makeup Tutorials Left Us In Disbelief

Makeup is an art form and YouTube’s the home of many a makeup master.

This week, we’re taking a look at one master in particular, Marc Zapanta, whose tutorials have been wowing everyone in the TenEighty office since forever. Ranging from product reviews, which are super helpful for those of us baffled by anything beyond mascara, to full-on makeup tutorials, Marc’s channel has something for everyone. As well, his drag makeup transformations are absolutely legendary, so, of course, we couldn’t stop ourselves from including more than one!

Here they are, the six times Marc Zapanta’s makeup tutorials left us in disbelief and whispering, “How on earth did he do that?!”

His Trixie Mattel drag transformation

Trixie Mattel is one of our all-time favourite drag queens. Her appearances on RuPaul’s Drag Race during season 7 and All Stars 3 were beyond iconic, and she thoroughly deserved her win of the latter.

Her makeup is also some of the most iconic to have been featured on the show, so it comes as no surprise to see Marc take on her look. His step-by-step tutorial is super helpful and ends up looking exactly like Trixie’s, and helps us all appreciate just how much work goes into her style.

His Swarovski skull Halloween tutorial

Trying to balance spooky with looking your usual glam self is one of the main trials of Halloween makeup… You want to look glamorous and make an impression, but you also want to bring the spooky Halloween is known for. The struggle becomes incredibly real.

However, never fear, because Marc is here to solve your Halloween woes with this gorgeous crystal skull look – AKA following the traditional human skull look, but covering it in crystals to stand out from the crowd. There’s no doubt you’ll win Best Costume with this look!

His Valentina drag transformation

VALENTINA, YOUR SMILE IS BEAUTIFUL!

Guess what? So is this makeup transformation! We absolutely adore this take on Valentina’s stunning makeup, which is based on her makeup from her RuPaul’s Drag Race promo shot. Marc’s face is completely transformed, and we’re left completely mesmerised by his talent!

Christmas blues

Blue? For winter? Ground-breaking. But for Christmas?

A time normally filled with red-and-green-and-gold, this glam look stands out from the crowd in all the best ways. Combined with a pale, pink lip and some grey hair, the expertly done blue eye shadow pops beautifully. Also, can we mention the highlight? This look has it all!

Jon Snow Transforms into Daenerys Targaryen

Who do you want to see win the Game of Thrones? Chances are it’s either Jon Snow or Daenerys Targaryen, who are both fan favourites. But why have only one of them win when you can have both!

If you can’t decide between the two, this makeup transformation is perfect for you, as Marc first transforms himself into The King of the North and then into the Mother of Dragons herself, complete with contact lenses, wigs and outfits. The best of both worlds, for sure!

His baby pink aesthetic makeup look

A bit simpler than the dramatic transformations above, this baby pink makeup look is still completely gorgeous and wearable for day-to-day activities in a way which the more complex looks are not. (Although, props to you if you can make time for a full drag transformation to run errands in.)

We love the combination of matching lips and eyes, brought together with a gorgeous blush. You’ll definitely catch us wearing this one on a regular basis.

We’re off to spend the afternoon pouting in a mirror after following these tutorials!
