Ben Hunte has made a documentary for BBC Newsbeat.
Titled YouTube Couples: How to stay in love, it was released on BBC iPlayer and YouTube on 13 February.
It features YouTube couples Joe and Ida Molloy, Trent Owers and Luke Shayler, and David Steinacker and Adanna Ohakim, among others – as well as Jack Lewis (Ben‘s own ex, with whom he ran the channel OurSwirlLife), and Lorenzo (who vlogged with his ex Pedro).
The documentary explores how sharing your relationship on YouTube can have its ups and downs, from getting sponsorships and promotions to turning a relationship into a business.
Ben also talks to his ex-partner Jack about how they dealt with being in a public relationship and a public breakup, and Lorenzo, who disappeared from his channel when his own relationship ended.
YouTube Couples: How to stay in love is available to watch now on iPlayer or YouTube.
