Resolutions 2018 | Rosianna Halse Rojas
Rosianna Halse Rojas‘s videos are always well-spoken and pleasant to listen to. In this one, Rosianna reflects on her 2017 resolutions and puts forward her list for 2018. In regards to 2017, she accomplished paying off her student loan – congrats, Rosianna!
For 2018, she has made three resolutions: to not have any Coca-Cola products, to reduce her production of waste, and to not buy brand-new clothing. We’re so impressed with her dedication to the environment and society. It’s good to think of resolutions that are more global than just self-improvement, and Rosianna has definitely nailed it.
She ends the video with an encouraging message from her tarot cards: let 2018 be the year where you allow yourself pleasure. That one is definitely going on our list!
Bookish Resolutions For 2018 | Read By Jess
Jessikah Stenson brings a new perspective to New Year’s resolutions with her bookish take on the traditional list.
Jessikah wants to bring more structure and content to her channel by uploading six videos a month, bringing it up from this year’s four a month. She also wants to read 100 books in 2018 – which seems impossible to us! – but seeing as she read 160 in 2017, we’re sure she’ll be able to do it. Her final resolution is to read more middle-grade books (for those aged 8 to 12 years), as this is a genre she is newly interested in.
Let us know your recommendations, Jess! We’re always looking to add books to our list!
new years resolutions 2018 | Vloggery
Emma Blackery’s New Year’s resolutions videos are a staple: she reflects on the year and what she has learned, and from this makes up her list of resolutions. Building on her success from 2017, she has set herself an ambitious list.
In 2018, she would like to learn more guitar, eat better and get fitter, and reach out more to her friends. She also talks about how she wants to be less negative online and keep her public Twitter a bit quieter. She also aims to not reply to hate online. Finally, she ends on a positive note by saying her last resolution is to be more confident in who she is.
Emma, we totally believe in you – you go, girl!
New Year’s Resolutions for 2018! | Kukadoodles
Christy Ku was inspired by Rebecca Brown‘s New Year’s resolutions video to try making a video showcasing what she wants to do in 2018. In her usual hilarious style, she breaks her numerous resolutions into three categories: building new skills, being more creative, and life/self-care.
As for new skills, Christy discusses picking up coding and French – we could all do with learning those! In order to be more creative, she resolves to create three pieces of art this year. She also wants to keep regular features on her channel, such her writing updates series Write Here Write Now. Lastly, she talks about general life and self-care. Under this category, she talks about wanting to exercise more often and travel more – we’ll happily put those on our list too!
We look forward to a video at the end of 2018 to see how you’ve done, Christy.
My New Years Resolutions & Makeup AD | Helen Anderson
Helen Anderson does a different take on New Year’s resolutions with her chatty makeup look video. In collaboration with The Body Shop, she shows us how to do a star-inspired look – and while she does her sparkly eyeshadow, she tells us all about her goals for 2018.
She starts with a resolution staple: be fitter and eat better. She says that “this is the year to look after myself” and we couldn’t agree more. (We really need to attempt this.) In 2018, she would also like to try new things and stop overthinking everything she does, as well as cut down on meat consumption and do more volunteering, especially with the elderly. Good on you, Helen – we wish you the best!
So there you have it…
