Imagine Halloween every day… but without the bats.
Cosplay is a huge part of fandom and internet culture; we’d even argue it’s an art form. For the uninitiated, cosplay is the act of dressing up as a specific fictional character, whether they’re from comic books, anime, movies, or TV. The dressing-up aspect can range from a simple “closet cosplay” made up of items from your wardrobe to full-blown sewing and construction projects. Some of this stuff is seriously incredible. Cosplay brings confidence, creativity, and enjoyment to the millions of people who do it, and cosplayers can be spotted at pretty much every major pop culture event.
While plenty of our favourite YouTubers are into various fandoms, only a few of them go to the extent of cosplaying, and we’ve picked out a list of incredible cosplayers whose channels you absolutely have to see. Chances are you’ll have heard of a few of our list… but we’ve also hunted through YouTube to find you a few you may not know!

As we all know, Connie Glynn is an amazing writer and a super talented impressionist… but have you seen her cosplays? They’re absolutely gorgeous! The cosplay videos Connie posts are generally centered around makeup tutorials (a crucial step in any cosplay process) but her outfits deserve our appreciation too. In fact, Connie first rose to internet fame by selling prints of her various cosplay guises!
Beckii Cruel
Beckii has been making videos since the early days of YouTube and thus is firmly secured in our list of all-time faves. We love every type of video she does, but her cosplay is on another level! Her tutorials were game-changing for our cosplay makeup – though if Beckii herself would come and do our makeup for us we certainly wouldn’t say no. Beckii also makes amazing videos about her personal style which is all of our goals. We get serious heart-eyes every time we see her Instagram.

The cosplay and personal style of Northern Irish cosplayer Sophie is a pastel-lover’s fantasy come to life. Not only is her cosplay incredible but she also creates makeup tutorials which are great for any aspiring cosplayer. And we’re completely in love with her outfits of the day, which are all stunning. We really really need Sophie to be our personal shopper, please?
NyxRisingIndustries
Quick! Name your favourite fandom! No, aside from YouTubers, silly! Fortunately for you, NyxRising Industries are one of the most versatile cosplay groups to hit the internet. From Hannibal chat up lines to a Until Dawn drama series, Nyx, Bee, Sasha, Jack, and Chase have you covered.
One standout series is History: It’s all a little bit silly which is both informative and hilarious. Trust us, it’s a Horrible Histories level of historical humour, and if you liked the musical jams of CBBC’s hit show, NyxRising have you covered there too with their cosplay music videos. Oh, and did we mention they also do an amazing advice series? And cooking? And a side-splitting comedy about what happened to the Malfoy family after the events of the Harry Potter series? (Spoiler alert: they drink wine constantly and can’t cook.) Yeah, we weren’t kidding about that versatility.
The Luna Diaries
Speaking of the Harry Potter series, this Luna Lovegood impersonator has created an amazingly clever vlog channel depicting Luna’s adventures from her perspective. Luna is a prominent character in the books and films, but these vlogs have created a whole new world for her – and we adore it! Her channel also includes discussion of the newer Harry Potter content and follow-along vlogs at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Trust us, if you’re a Potterhead this is the channel for you!

Love cosplay? Love music videos? Then Frances has the perfect channel for you! If the idea of cosplay music videos is new to you, prepare to be amazed. They take all that daydreaming about your favourite characters to music (don’t lie… we know we’re not the only ones…) and turn it into a real visual! Frances has also created a super cute Yuri on Ice video which we’re absolutely in love with!
We’re already diving into our closet and itching to cosplay our favourite characters, are you?
We’re super inspired by all these cosplayers and their respective tutorials and series. We love fandom and dress-up a lot, and this is the best way to combine the two!
