Daniel Hardcastle is a playable character in a new game from Suspicious Developments.
Dan had previously mentioned that he would feature in Heat Signature on Twitch streams, and hinted on Twitter that he discovered something exciting when playing the beta version of the game:
The coolest fucking thing happened while playing Heat Signature and I was recording footage for the news at the time. Awww yeah.

The part of the game in which Dan features is a reference to a moment from a news video Dan released in April 2016. His character will also have a challenge featuring them floating in space and having to get back to their ship before they die.
Some of his followers have also had access to the beta and have located Dan in the game. They took to Twitter to share their excitement after their discovery:

As well as the playable character, Reddit users have also said that there are guards that randomly appear throughout the game called Guard Hardcastle:
Heat Signature is from the developers of the 2013 game Gunpoint and is a strategy/stealth game. Its trailer states that “you go inside spaceships, make terrible mistakes, and think of clever ways out of them”.
The game is now available on Steam.
