On 7 September, many of the country’s top YouTubers came together with Stand Up To Cancer UK to raise money for cancer research.
The charity live stream – which aired for four hours – was filled with laughter, hilarious challenges, and many familiar faces, and it was one of the many examples of our faves coming together for important causes.
Miss the stream or want to relive the antics? It’s a good thing we’ve organised this recap for you, filled to the brim with all the orange-y madness!
Snack roulette
Ayyyyy @nikialbon @sammyalbon @joshua_pieters @Jack_Maynard23 killing it with #StandUpWithYT pic.twitter.com/vINlVOBe7u

The live stream kicked off with a little game of snack roulette with Niki and Sammy Albon, Jack Maynard, and Josh Pieters. We’re pretty sure Jack’s face throughout tells you all you need to know about the type of treats the four were trying.
Baking’s as easy as one-two-three
That’s how we feel about chocolate cake too @thekatiepix 😍 A super-indulgent ballsy bake treat! #StandUpwithYT pic.twitter.com/QdcP8qcuiL

Want to try baking, but just aren’t sure you’re ready to make anything in the oven? Katie Pix to the rescue! During her segment, Katie showed us a quick and easy way to make a cake using only a handful of ingredients, a coffee mug, and your everyday microwave.
Mug cakes for everyone!
Shockolate cake
We’ll use any excuse to watch Matt Adlard bake, but we never thought we’d see him decorate a cake whilst being shocked. From the flyaway sprinkles to the whipped cream, it was quite the segment. We’d like to know how Matt, even while being shocked, was able to decorate better than we ever will.
Contortionist
We definitely didn’t expect to see contortionist Pixie Le Knot in Joe Sugg‘s Stand Up To Cancer suitcase.
In one of the live stream’s educational clips, Joe was challenged to fit inside a suitcase to show the difference between regular cells and ones that are cancerous. We never thought such a hilarious challenge could be so educational!
Orange-ify it!
Not to brag or anything, but we like to think of ourselves as pretty fashionable. We mean, have you seen our trendy logo? So chic. We will say, however, that there’s one colour we tend to stay away from: orange. We’re not quite sure how to style it with the other items in our wardrobe. Thankfully, Josiah Hyacinth, Megan Ellaby, James Welsh, and blogger Kat Farmer were able to give us a few pointers.
Josiah, are you really sure your shirt is orange?
Jump, jump, jump
There were many trampoline challenges during the live stream, and our favourite was when both Lucy Connell and Katie Snooks, as well as Scola Dondo and Stephanie Lange, attempted to apply making whilst jumping around.
We spy some new makeup trends!
Is that David Bowie?!
Doesn't @DougArmstrong look incredible as David Bowie? It's all thanks to the talents of @marczapanta #StandUpwithYT pic.twitter.com/I3IlmaCDGa

We were blown away by Marc Zapanta‘s ability to turn Doug Armstrong into David Bowie!
Beautiful performances
.@Sazclose did an amazing performance on #StandUpwithYT earlier – put the sound on, and enjoy 🎤🎶 🎹 pic.twitter.com/OrCOp70Jx5

The stream treated us to some beautiful performances from Doug, Sarah Close, and Abi Singer, and we were left feeling all the feels.
FIFA it up!
What we thought would be your average FIFA game with Mavric, Wolfy, Chai Cameron, Casey Barker, and presenter Alex Baker turned into anything but, as the guys were subjected to shocks whilst playing the game!
Think you’re a good gamer? Try this challenge on for size. (But not really – these guys are trained professionals.)
The space hopper races
There’s nothing we loved more when we were kids than space hoppers – and from the looks of it, our faves share the same fond memories! There were many races throughout the stream, and one of our favourites was definitely the one between Yammy_xox and LDShadowLady.
Ball pits are where it’s at
All @tomscott needs is a ball pit, UV light and @DougArmstrong in a morph suit explain some super cool science! Obvs. #StandUpwithYT pic.twitter.com/aq15kXDpGS
— StandUpToCancerUK (@StandUp2C) September 7, 2017
If you can bring together Doug in a morph suit, a ball bit, UV lighting, and Tom Scott to help showcase some super cool science, then you can bet you’ve got our attention.
Ouch…
We’ve seen more than our share of leg-waxing challenges to know just how painful they are, so props to Mikey Pearce for letting Jack and Josh wax his legs.
We’re not quite sure we’d be able to endure the pain.
Two Truths, One Lie
Later in the stream, Doug, Lucy Moon, and Mimi Missfit came together to play Two Truths, One Lie – and it was a much more challenging game than we thought it’d be.
Also, Mimi, where did you get your phone case? We need it ASAP!
Umm…
The award for Best Dressed definitely goes to Jack, Josh and Mikey. Their style was on fleek!
The impossible game of Would You Rather?
One of the closing segments was a game of Would You Rather? with Gary C and Lex Croucher. We’d definitely prefer to wear wet socks for the rest of our lives than only shower once a year, and we’d rather say what’s on our mind all the time than never speak again. We’re filled with so many tidbits of knowledge, it’d be shame for them to never see the light of day!

An exciting evening was had by all!
We’d like to thank everyone involved, from Stand Up To Cancer and our YouTube faves to those of you who donated and continue to donate. It warms our hearts to see everyone come together to show cancer who’s boss! Let’s do it all again next year, okay?
