TomSka’s weekly vlog series Last Week will finish after 100 episodes.
Last Week has been running for 75 weeks since its inception in April 2016 and recently won Series of the Year at the 2017 Summer in the City Awards. The videos are uploaded to Tom Ridgewell‘s second channel, DarkSquidge, and frequently feature Tom’s colleagues Eddie Bowley and Elliot Gough, the latter of whom edits the series.
In Last Week is Ending?, Tom said the fact that so many people watch the show every week is “ridiculous”.
“The letters I’ve read and the people I’ve met and the things they’ve said about what this series means to them is wonderful,” he continued, “and that is why I want you to find out now, well in advance, that Last Week is going to end.”
Tom then went on to add, “I would rather end it on a high note – when it’s something that I enjoy, when it’s something that you enjoy – before we reach this inevitable point where we cross this hill and it starts going downhill, you can tell that I don’t enjoy it anymore, it’s become a burden, or it’s just become tired and played out.
“Figuring out what fun and creative thing we’re going to replace Last Week with is the mystery, but it’ll be something.”
The final Last Week will be the week commencing 26 February 2018. Tom has asked his followers for advice on how to follow the series up.
