One of the greatest things about the internet is being able to share your thoughts, feelings (all the feels!), and interests with the world.
And when a large group of people who share the same interest unite online, a fandom is born. Some fandoms might be more well-known than others – everyone knows Dan Howell and Phil Lester‘s Phandom, for example – but there are tons of different YouTube fandoms out there, and they all love and adore their fave(s). Here are a handful of fandoms, big and small, that we think are definitely worth joining!
The Shaders
The Shades‘ fandom – a.k.a. the Shaders – are some of the most supportive fans we’ve seen. We love this group of four lads and their awesome covers of songs – they can sing any time, any place, which is pretty impressive if you ask us – so it’s understandable why they have a large following.
Recently, the Shaders even started their own hashtag #ShadersAreBeautiful, which allowed the fandom to share some self-love. How heartwarming is that?
The Last Week fandom
If you love sitting down with a cuppa and watching a long video, then the fandom for Tom Ridgewell‘s Last Week videos is for you!
Every week, Tom and his team at TurboPunch upload a (roughly) 30-minute-long video showing Tom’s weekly goings-on. We can always rely on the Weeklings to create some fab artwork, as well as appreciate the artistry that is Bee Movie. Who doesn’t love receiving emails of the movie’s script?
The Night Scape Nation
If your sense of adventure knows no bounds, then maybe the Night Scape Nation is the place for you!
Harry Gallagher is known for his late-night adventures, exploring abandoned places and climbing literally anything. Harry’s channel encourages people to get out and explore, take pictures, and live life to the fullest, and the Night Scape Nation are known for always sporting their Night Scape merch and creating some pretty insane fan art – and we can’t get enough!
The Twindom
If one YouTuber isn’t enough for you, then how about two?
Niki and Sammy Albon‘s channel is full of hilarious videos that are always supported by their loyal band of viewers, the Twindom. Whether it be their love of baking videos or their obsession with BTS, the Twindom are a loveable bunch of people who are always first to share their love for the twins. (And their animals.)
The Kaushal Beauty fandom
Kaushal M‘s channel is always full of new beauty looks, as well as fab makeup and hair tutorials. Her fanbase is known for spreading good vibes, something we’re totally on board with. Kaushal’s videos are always bubbly and informative, so we can’t blame her viewers for being so supportive and caring.
They’re like one big, bubbly family, and we love it!
The Laurasalwayspottering fandom
If you love everything (and we mean everything) Harry Potter, then Laura‘s small but incredibly loyal band of viewers are who you need to connect with.
Laura’s videos fuel our Harry Potter wants and needs, giving us the magical YouTube content we didn’t even know we were waiting for! This fandom is the perfect place to be if you’re looking for a way to vent your love of the Wizarding World.
The Phandom
Fans of Dan and Phil often band together to form the fandom we all know and love: the Phandom.
Always lurking in some corner of the internet, the Phandom are first to pounce whenever Dan or Phil upload a video. They’re known for their impressive writing skills (that fan fiction!), as well as their ability to create amazing artwork (remember Draw Phil Naked?). As a fandom, they’re always super enthusiastic and supportive toward their faves, and we admire their loyalty.
The Zoella fandom
Zoe Sugg‘s fans are supportive, creative, and always the first to be enthusiastic about any of Zoe’s new endeavours. Together with the fans of her brother Joe Sugg, they’re named the Sugglets, and they’re always coming up with new ways to show their support for Zoe, her boyfriend Alfie Deyes, and the pair’s adorable pug, Nala.
Still can’t decide which fandom to join?
Well, who said you can’t be a part of more than just one? Only being able to fangirl about one YouTuber would be pretty boring, so be sure to join as many fandoms as you like! While we’ve only listed eight, there are tons (and we mean tons) more out there waiting to invite you in with open arms, and we think you should go and discover them!
