Is it just us, or has a shift towards music been the natural progression for many of those making videos online?
From Dodie Clark to Bethan Leadley, Melanie Baker to Sarah Close, it’s clear to see that YouTube is filled to the brim with creators whose talents far exceed simply talking to a camera. And you know who else shares these talents? Emma Blackery.
Emma recently wrapped up a headlining tour in support of her new EP Magnetised (a release we here at TenEighty HQ have been rocking nonstop), and boy, was it one to remember. Filled with great live music, lots of bants, and a positive atmosphere, the tour was definitely one for the books, which is why we decided it necessary to dedicate an entire article to its best moments.
So here they are: TenEighty’s nine favourite moments from the Magnetised tour!
When Jedward came to cheer Emma on
On the first night of tour, those dashing boys from Jedward stopped by Emma’s show in Dublin to bid her good luck and show their support. If that isn’t #FriendshipGoals, then we don’t know what is!
Is there anything better than seeing the bae every night?

We’ll use any excuse necessary if it means we get to see our American fave Rusty Clanton, so obviously we were over the moon to hear he’d be one of the tour’s supporting acts! Now, if only there was a way for us to see him perform every night… Never-ending UK tour, anyone?

What quickly became evident during the Magnetised tour was just how comfortable Emma has become whilst performing on stage. We were in awe of the confidence she radiated – it made each show 100 times more entertaining!
Daddy’s girl

DADDY’S GIRL. DADDY’S GIRL. DADDY’S GIRL. DADDY’S GIRL.
It’s all about the music
Very excited to announce we'll be going out on tour in a few weeks, opening up for @emmablackery at the dates below. 📷: Gary Franklin pic.twitter.com/f8kPx9x5et
— Valeras (@valerasband) May 16, 2017
It might surprise you to know that the members of opening act Valeras are only 16, given how talented they are. In fact, it appeared that Emma wasn’t even aware of that until they arrived for the first day of tour, which goes to show that the tour wasn’t about popularity or appearances – it was about the music, plain and simple. Just how all live shows should be.
The singalongs
Glasgow was on point tonight! @emmablackery @iamryanburnett @Swannytom pic.twitter.com/20rXaYMSq0

There was nothing more heartwarming than watching the crowd sing along with Emma night after night. Hearing the audience sing Emma’s lyrics back to her was entrancing and we couldn’t help but feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Emma Blackery? More like Emma Dabbery, amiright?!?!?!?!
When Emma achieved her childhood dream
It’s no secret that Emma has always dreamed of playing the Shepherd’s Bush Empire, ever since she was a kid, and with this tour she was finally able to achieve that dream. Honestly, to say we were proud of our hamster-loving sassmaster would be an understatement.
Emma, congrats on achieving this dream and here’s to reaching many more in the future!
The support from other YouTubers

YOU TOO!! You frickin rocked it. Best show I've seen of you so far !! 💕
— luke cutforth✨🦆 (@LukeIsNotSexy) June 5, 2017
It was touching to see the amount of support Emma received from her YouTube friends. The likes of Luke Cutforth, Lily Melrose, and Bry all came out to show Emma just how proud they were of her and all she’s accomplished. And if they all showed their support in the same way Bry did, we’re sure Emma was truly feeling the love.
Who else wishes they could relive the tour all over again?
The lights, the magic, the audience singalongs – oh, how we miss the wonderful nights of tour! Hurry, someone go find J.K. Rowling, ask her to make a real life Time-Turner, and make it so that we can turn back the clock to relive the Magnetised fun over and over again… Or, if that’s not possible, how about we mass-tweet Emma until she’s forced to go back on tour due to the demand flooding her mentions? That’ll surely work!
