Let’s face it: we love the intimacy that comes with getting to know our favourite YouTube creators.
And naturally, when our faves are living with other YouTubers, we see quite a bit of footage from their lives together. It’s always super easy to feel attached, and the more we watch their chemistry grow (and memorise every item lying around their living room), the more we don’t want to let go. Sadly, however, all good things eventually come to an end, which has resulted in us having watched our fair share of epic housemate pairings go their separate ways. *sad face*
Thankfully, these splits are never paired with hard feelings. In fact, they often lead to our faves moving in with other stellar creators, which is why we had to – brace yourselves – compile a list of our seven favourite sets of YouTuber housemates.
Quick warning: we’re not sure you’re ready for the fangirling.
Dan Howell and Phil Lester
Starting off in Manchester before moving to London, Dan Howell and Phil Lester have been living together for years. They’ve literally spent more than five years together – that’s longer than TenEighty has been around! Crazy.
Luckily for us, many of their adorable domestic moments have been documented forever on the internet for us to squeal over. Want an example? Try last summer when Dan finally caught Phil stealing (and eating) his cereal. Yep, they’re totally housemate goals.
Dodie Clark and Hazel Hayes
Moving in together in early 2016, Dodie Clark and Hazel Hayes give off total BFF vibes – and we love them for it! They’ve filmed a bunch of collabs together over the past year, including a ton (and we mean a ton) of song covers, and a hilarious spoopy Tipsy Talk. And, if you’re so inclined, you can catch them both living the domestic life in Hazel’s Time of the Month series.
Sadly, there’s no official flat tour yet, but maybe with enough begging the two will oblige!
Luke Cutforth, Evan Edinger, Connie Glynn, and Ellen
Yep, it’s the Meme Mansion, everyone.
These four pals moved in together in the latter half of 2016 and have already begun to form some sweet, sweet memes. Just don’t mention that time Connie Glynn got hit by a car just outside the flat… That wasn’t so sweet. Plus, if you’re as nosy as us (we know you are) and want to have a little peek around inside, both Luke and Evan filmed some awesome house tours last September.
We *heart* the Meme Mansion!
Jack Howard, Ciaran OBrien, and Daniel J. Layton
These three lads moved in together during the summer of 2013. Although we don’t get to see a lot of the shenanigans they get up to in their pad, we are definitely able to spy various corners of their house in Daniel‘s Pretentious Monthly Scrapbook videos (which also feature various cameos from Jack).
Now, if only we could convince Ciaran to step out from behind the camera more.
Carrie Hope Fletcher and Pete Bucknall
Once upon a time, in a British city far, far away, Carrie Hope Fletcher moved into an adorable little flat that we watched her paint, furnish, and customise into a place that is all her own. And then Pete Bucknall moved in and, well, the two seem so happy that we simply wouldn’t have it any other way!
They’re always popping up in each other’s videos in the most adorable ways, whether it be a couple’s Q&A or a cute mince pie baking video. We just love watching the snippets of domestic life they choose to share with us!
Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes
Speaking of YouTube couples who also make super-cute YouTube housemates, let’s not forget about Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes, who live together in their home in Brighton. As two keen vloggers who document their lives through daily vlogs, it’s hard not to become obsessed with them and their adorable pets!
Joe Sugg and Caspar Lee
We couldn’t list our favourite YouTube housemates without mentioning Joe Sugg and Caspar Lee, could we? While yes, the two announced just last year that they’re now sleeping in separate stone structures (*major sob*), they have assured us that they still remain the best of friends and have actually bought their new pads on the same road as each other.
Are they BFF goals or what?!
Honourable Mention: Dovan Flat
Let’s face it: nothing lasts forever. But man, we really wish the Dovan Flat had. Dodie and Evan moved in together in early 2015 and shared one golden year together, filled with side-splitting stories and adorable collabs. Remember that time their next-door neighbour stole Dodie’s bike? Or that time the pair recorded a song about how messy their flat was?
While these two may no longer live together, our memories (and the videos) will live on in our hearts and on the internet forever. RIP Dovan Flat. We loved you.
Feeling emosh? We sure are…
Now, all we have to do is convince our YouTube faves to move in with us. Imagine how cool that would be! We’d make super fun housemates, we promise… Not to sound too pushy or anything.
