Alfie Deyes has announced a third entry in his Pointless Book series, and asked viewers to collaborate with him on the book.
Alfie revealed as part of a daily vlog that work has begun on the third instalment in the series, and expressed an interest in having his audience involved with the creation of this entry.
Alfie stated that he was originally hesitant about writing a third instalment, saying: “I’ve thought about this idea before, but I’ll never do something with my YouTube that doesn’t excite you guys”, clarifying that he changed his mind after increased interest in his published work over the Christmas season.
In the announcement video, Alfie also revealed how he intends to collaborate with his audience to make the book a reality, saying: “I want you to be in the meetings when I’m designing it. I want you to be in the meetings where I’m writing it.”
Viewers of Alfie’s vlogging channel will also have the opportunity to design and write entire pages for the book, with any featured work being credited. Alfie expressed excitement at leading such an ambitious collaborative project with his audience, stating that “it’s just going to be something we can do together”.
No release date or time frame has been announced at this point, but Alfie did reveal that he has already started work on 42 page ideas, with many of them including references to popular pages from the previous two books.
The third Pointless Book will be published by Blink Publishing. The first volume is available on Amazon here, and the second is available here.
