Taking place on 25 February, Niche and Twitter’s second Creator Day event will focus on the power of live broadcasting, and feature creators such as Oli White, Hazel Hayes, and Niki and Sammy Albon.
Niche is a “creator-first platform” which helps creators to grow, understand, and activate their social presence across all networks. They work with creators and brands to develop authentic branded content with Twitter clients.
“#CreatorDay is one of the highlights of the Niche events calendar!” says EMEA Niche Community Manager, Jo Burford. “It’s a day where the international Niche community come together to share their experiences working as career creators and discuss the hot topics within the industry.”
TenEighty UK has been named as the official media partner for the 2017 event. Alongside our on-the-day coverage across TenEighty’s social channels, readers can expect articles before and after the event sharing some of Niche and their guests’ advice and tips for creators.
TenEighty Co-Editor Teoh Lander-Boyce says: “This one-of-a-kind event will highlight talent from across the UK content creator community, and generate important insights for the surrounding industry. We are truly honoured to be part of it.”
#CreatorDay 2017 will kick off with talks from Dennis Todisco, Head of the Niche Community, and Twitter’s Head of Creative Agency Development Helen Lawrence.
Dennis will be sharing his own story as a creator and talk through some of the most innovative collaborations between creators and brands in the US. Helen works with brands to help them develop their presence on Twitter and will be discussing brand innovations on the platform.
Following on from this will be a panel discussion on staying power and how to grow as a channel while also maintaining your reputation. Moderated by Jo Burford, the panellists include YouTubers Oli White, Hazel Hayes, and David Vujanic, ex-Viner Ryan Doon, and presenter Maya Jama.
Creators in the audience will then have the chance to take part in more hands-on workshop sessions to learn more about how live broadcasting can benefit them. The first of these, hosted Zara Ricketts, Senior Content Specialist for Niche, will look at making the move from digital platforms to TV, with guest speakers from UniLad’s The Wall of Comedy.
Josh Pieters, Niki and Sammy Albon, Clare Siobhán, and Will Hardy will then take guests through what it takes to master the live stream.
The event will wrap up with a live acoustic session from Doug Armstrong and Samantha Harvey.
Keep an eye on @TenEightyUK where we will be live-tweeting throughout the event. Lucy and Lydia Connell will also be taking over as #CreatorDay digital hosts on @TwitterUK
