VidCon has announced the first set of industry speakers for its 2017 European event.
The speakers at VidCon Europe will include Hank Green, Founder of Vidcon; Ronald Horstman, Managing Director of Studio71; Wil Harris, head of digital at Conde Nast Britain; and Solly Solomou, Founder and CEO of LadBible.
Taking place on Friday 7 April 2017, the VidCon Europe Industry Day will focus on the changing face of branding, advertising, celebrity, and video viewing. The event will be based in Amsterdam at the RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The Industry Track will open with a keynote from VidCon Founder Hank Green, followed by comments from CEOs of Europe’s leading online video networks, including Ashley McKenzie of Brave Bison, Paola Marinone of BuzzMyVideos, and Matthew Heiman of Diagonal View.
Nick Hayward, CEO of The Narrative, will be joined by Harris and Horstman to discuss how digital and traditional media can work together to build a sustainable industry.
HelloRasmus and Cailin O’Neil, two popular Snapchatters, will host a panel focussing on how brands can take advantage of the platform.
Nikolas Schriefer of Stagelink will join a conversation on how to make money from new media celebrities through face-to-face events, tip jars, books, memberships, and other non-traditional schemes.
As well as a examining YouTube and Snapchat, VidCon Europe will bring together some of the leading Facebook video creators including the aforementioned Solly Solomou of LadBible, and Illirian Krasniq, CEO/Co-Founder of MetDaan, to describe how they built two of the world’s biggest Facebook video publishers. In addition, Andrew Hawken of Mesmerize and Jan-Phillip Mohr of Hashplay will take a detailed look at storytelling in virtual reality.

Tickets for the event recently went on sale, and Industry Track prices start at €550.
