Halloween is over, we’ve done our remembering of 5 November, seen all the fireworks, eaten all the candy floss… so now it’s time for Christmas, right?
Well, we’re getting there at least. There’s under 50 days to go, so that means we’re starting to plan the location of our office Christmas tree, the positioning of our tinsel for optimum sparkle… too soon? Maybe. Are we sorry? Of course not!
Anyway, enough of this early Christmas talk! On with this week’s videos!
GRAB THEM BY THE PU$$Y (GET THAT CONSENT) – Riyadh K
In case you missed the memo, the US election is literally a day away… and oh boy, has it been a controversial (and slightly terrifying) thing to watch from this side of the Atlantic… talk about Brexit flashbacks.
In totally unrelated news, Riyadh Khalaf has uploaded a new song called Grab Them By The Pu$$y. Surely nothing in the run up to the election could be ridiculous enough to inspire this? Commenters have been saying “Why does this exist and why do I thank God for giving it to us” and “I think I’m on the weird side of the internet again”, which is a sure sign you’ve got a hit on your hands.
My Dad Died… – Evan Edinger
We’re taking a bit of a sombre detour from our usual Round-Up style because we just couldn’t let this week go by without acknowledging this video from Evan Edinger. We were really touched by Evan’s honesty and the message he’s giving.
No jokes here. Just our love and sympathy for you, Evan.
THE START OF SOMETHING NEW – Fabulous Hannah
Over the last year, we’ve seen YouTubers tackle the viewer/creator divide in many ways, as well as figuring out how to be more honest with their audience. For her part, Fabulous Hannah is embarking on a no-makeup month on her channel, both to reflect her true self as someone who doesn’t usually wear makeup and as a social experiment of sorts, to see if her lack of makeup will affect the growth of her channel.
We think it’s a really great idea, and we’d like to think that it will only affect Hannah’s channel in a positive way. Plus, we think she looks pretty fabulous without makeup too.

Dear Dodie Clark,
Please stop writing such lovely, catchy songs that make us feel feelings. It’s really not fair.
Lots of love,
TenEighty HQ xoxo
P.S. Please don’t actually stop. Also, we’re not crying – there’s just a bit of bonfire in our eyes.
Donald Trump VS Hillary Clinton (PARODY) // Musical Debate News // AMERICA’S WORST NIGHTMARE – Philip Green
If you haven’t had enough of the US election, or if you just feel like you need a bit of laugh about it (trust us, we all do), we thoroughly recommend this fantastic video from impressionist extraordinaire, Philip Green. The half-Trump, half-Hillary costume alone deserves its own accolade!
Need a bit more of a distraction from the impending election? You’re in luck…
It’s a week of comebacks for team TenEighty on YouTube, with our very own Teoh Lander-Boyce and Alex J Brinnand making their triumphant returns to YouTube. One made a video talking about the life lessons he’s learnt in his 25 years, the other ate an egg… for the first time. For the record, we at TenEighty HQ aren’t quite sure what Alex actually eats.
As if Carrie Hope Fletcher‘s life couldn’t get any more exciting, she’s now jetted off to Dubai to reprise her role of Eponine in Les Mis, and she’s taken us with her! Or, at least, she’s doing a bit of vlogging. Whilst we wrap up in our scarves and hats, we’ll be living vicariously through Carrie’s social media, featuring lots and lots of sunshine.
Mark Ferris has made a very honest video about his struggles with anxiety, and how he’s managed to overcome it. It’s always great to hear people opening up about their mental health and helping others to understand it.
Last but certainly not least, the ever musical Bethan Leadley has covered You by The Pretty Reckless, and we’re pretty sure we’ll be listening to it for a long time yet.
