YouTubers Marcus Butler, Alfie Deyes, and Joe Sugg will be appearing in a celebrity series of ITV2’s horror-themed game show Release the Hounds in 2017.
Release the Hounds challenges contestants to face multiple mental and physical tests which lead ultimately to having to outrun a pack of dogs. The show’s celebrity series promises to be “scarier and bigger challenges than ever before”, aiming to “push the celebrities to the very edge”.
Alfie broke the news that he, Marcus, and Joe would be involved on Twitter:
I can finally announce that myself, @MarcusButler & @Joe_Sugg are going to be on the new Celebrity series of Release The Hounds!!

The show will pit the YouTubers against other celebrity teams, including Marnie Simpson, Chloe Ferry, and Nathan Henry from Geordie Shore. The teams will compete for a cash prize to be donated to their chosen charity.
Clips from previous seasons can be seen on the Release the Hounds YouTube channel, including the moment the producers managed to scare presenter Reggie Yates by faking the accidental death of previous celebrity guest Joey Essex.
Fellow YouTubers have already expressed excitement for the upcoming show:
