Show of hands if you think this year is going by way too fast!
Seriously, where did September go?! It feels like only yesterday that we were prepping ourselves for another *exciting* school year and saying goodbye to the joys of summer, and now we’re getting ready for the spookiness of Halloween and the dreary weather autumn brings. We feel like we can’t keep up!
However, while we might have a bone to pick with whoever is in charge of time, we’re glad another week has gone by because that means we were treated to awesome new videos – squee! From trailers to covers, and comedy sketches to makeup tutorials, we got it all this week, and because we love you so much, we here at TenEighty sifted through them all to find the best of the best. Enjoy!
YOU’RE ALRIGHT – Official Music Video – Bry
It’s been a huge week for our favourite Irish musician, Bry. Not only was he announced as the support for Twenty One Pilots’ upcoming European tour (OMG), he also announced that his new album was up for pre-order and released his new single, You’re Alright.
There’s not much to say about the song other than we’re in love. Bry, we can’t get enough of your music and we can’t wait to hear the whole album! We’re sure it’ll be the bomb dot com. That’s what the cool kids say, right?
WHIPPED | New Comedy Official Trailer – crabstickz
ATTENTION: crabstickz is back. WE REPEAT: crabstickz is back.
We all have that one YouTuber who literally makes us scream with excitement every time they upload a new video. For us, that YouTuber is Chris Kendall, and this time around, he definitely hasn’t disappointed (not that he ever does).
Earlier this week, Chris released the trailer for his new web series, and man, are we excited to watch the first episode. Whipped follows a man called Nathan, who gets a job at Hell. What is Hell exactly? Watch the trailer to find out, and prepare for lots of hilarious and awkward moments!
Halloween: Enoch’s Dolls (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children) | Makeup Tutorial – Emma Pickles
With Halloween just around the corner (like we said, time’s flying by!), it’s about time we start thinking about what costumes we’re going to rock. Do we go as the spunky Harley Quinn or go with a classic, like a vampire or the murderer from Scream?
Well, Emma Pickles has a different suggestion and it’s one we’re definitely going to rock on All Hallow’s Eve. In her latest tutorial, Emma shows us how to become one of the Enoch dolls from Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and it’s a look that’s both scary and creepy.
Try it out! You’re pretty much guaranteed to impress your friends with this look, as well as win all the costume contests.
Closer – Chainsmokers Acoustic Cover – Doug Armstrong
You know what song we can’t seem to get out of our heads? Closer by The Chainsmokers and Halsey. Seriously, we’ve been singing it 24/7, and just when we think we’ve finally gotten it out of our heads, we find ourselves humming it while grabbing a cup of coffee. Why does it have to be so damn catchy?!
It appears Doug Armstrong can’t get enough of it either, as he teamed up with Brodie Kelly for an awesome acoustic cover of the track. To be honest, we didn’t think the song could get any better, but Doug and Brodie have proved us wrong. Acoustic covers FTW!
Sixteen Days – A Slam Poem – Gary C
What are your feelings on social media? Are you someone who’s on it all the time, or would you rather avoid the likes of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram altogether? It’s something many of us ponder, including Gary C, who has written a slam poem on his relationship with such platforms in 2016.
An emotional piece, Sixteen Days is sure to tug at your heartstrings. You can hear Gary’s connection to the words as he recites what he’s written, and it’ll leave you thinking about how you personally use and see social media. We absolutely adore this piece, Gary, and we hope you’ll continue to share your poetry with us.
Still looking for more? It’s a good thing we’ve got you covered!
Dan Howell and Phil Lester will be premiering their The Amazing Tour Is Not On Fire on YouTube Red later on this month, and they have us absolutely bursting with anticipation with the release of the film’s official trailer!
Earlier this week, Fleur DeForce celebrated her seventh year on YouTube, and what better way to commemorate it than with a look back at her channel’s best moments! Congrats on seven years, Fleur, and here’s to seven more!
We can’t get enough of Bethan Leadley‘s covers and have been playing her rendition of Gnash’s i hate u, i love u nonstop.
We all have issues with being self-critical, and Zannah Perrins has uploaded this video about her own experiences.
