It all went a bit quiet online last week…
It can’t possibly be anything to do with lots of our faves STILL being in LA after VidCon, can it? And we totally haven’t been scrolling through our many social media feeds looking longingly at the sunshine of LA.
JSYK, it’s totally been hot and sunny here too. We’ve definitely been enjoying lots of days sunbathing and eating Cornettos. Definitely… maybe.
Right, on with the videos before anyone questions our honesty…
Interview with a child – doddlevloggle
We’re not saying that Dodie Clark’s 11-year-old sister Hedy is wise beyond her years, but… well, Hedy is wise beyond her years. We are VERY glad that no-one interviewed us when we were 11 and put it online (glossing over the fact that YouTube wasn’t even a thing back then, tyvm), but we’re sure the cringe factor will be pretty low when Hedy watches this back in a few years’ time!
So. Hedy and Dodie Clark for joint Prime Ministers, anyone? We hear they’ve got jobs going…
30 Songs in 7 minutes | Taylor Swift Medley – Libby Tidley
Some people cover one song. Some people do a mashup of two songs – maybe three at a push. Libby Tidley has only gone and done a mashup of ALL of Taylor Swift’s singles in one go!
We love a bit of T-Swizzle here at TenEighty HQ, and we’ll have you know that our singalong to this was QUITE SOMETHING. We should probably leave the singing to the pros though. We couldn’t quite hit those harmonies…
Vlune 25 – The End – Adrian Bliss
No, no, NO. We REFUSE to believe it’s over… but what an end it was. For the last month, we’ve been following Adrian Bliss‘s adventures to VidCon Disneyland, and the finale is just as emotional and brilliant as we’d hoped it would be.
We’ve had a month of brand deals, journalists, Beth, Vegas, and just about everything else you can possibly imagine, along with a good dose of satire and poignancy. (And no, we’re not crying. You’re crying…)
If you fancy it, you can also read more about Vlune coming to an end.
Quest for the Summer – Bethshake
Bethany Jeffries is on a quest for a great Summer with GOALS and ART and oh so many productive things! We remember the long stretch of Summer holidays all too well, and we can’t say we were anywhere near as productive as Beth seems to be!
We’ll admit it: we are GREAT at procrastinating. If procrastination was an Olympic sport, we’d like to think we’d win the gold medal, but we’d probably be too busy procrastinating from our procrastination to participate.
Confused? Yeah, us too. Probably best for us to just keep watching Beth’s channel for all the art, because that’s not technically procrastination. See, we’re learning…
It’s Pay Back Time! – The Mandeville Sisters
You know the feeling when you owe someone money, but they owe you money too and it all gets a little confusing? Well, so do Grace Mandeville and Amelia Mandeville. This video hurt our heads a little bit, what with all the numbers and IOU’s flying around!
FYI: If the TenEighty Twitter goes a bit quiet over the next couple of weeks, it’s because we’ve decided to work out who owes who what. If only we could find all those Starbucks receipts.
Some more to keep you distracted…
In case you hadn’t noticed, politics in the UK still seems to be completely and utterly bonkers, to which Jack Dean has responded by letting us know about a few laws he’d make if he were in charge. It’s a li’l bit NSFW, so maybe stick your headphones in for this one. You have been warned.
Helen Anderson went to America, and has made a video about a her first impressions of the USA from a Brit’s point of view. Obviously, we’ll now need to go on holiday to see if we agree. For research, of course.
Niki and Sammy Albon went on a car journey with Louise Pentland, and it was a beautiful mess of drive-thru Starbucks, singalongs and car ceiling punching. Which, when you really think about it, is an odd combination of things.
