If you’ve been brave enough to venture outside lately, you may have noticed it’s getting warmer.
Yes, that’s right, the sun has finally come out, and we’ll shortly be beginning our “Socks and Sandals Round-Up”. We bet you can’t wait for that one. It’s going to be SUPER EXCITING. Will there be Crocs and socks? WHO KNOWS.
Or maybe we should stick to the day job. Work on those other Round-Up formats a little more before they’re ready for the public…
The Artsy Challenge – thisbedottie
Challenge and tag videos often have a bit of a bad rep on YouTube, but the lovely Dottie James has taken the format and put it her own unique spin on it. The challenge is to use all the footage on your camera, and make a video without a goal or a message while also being as creative as possible.
We really hope this one gathers some momentum, we’d love to see what other creators do with the idea!
10 Ways to be a Better Human – NewAgeCreators
We really can’t get enough of NewAgeCreators‘ channel right now, producing quality content™ like this slice of general niceness and positivity mixed in with a good dollop of pretty damn pretty stop motion that you need to see.
Unfortunately in London, home to TenEighty HQ, smiling at strangers tends to just get you a few shifty looks and an unexpected amount of personal space, but perhaps we just need to show them all this video!
How Racist Are You? – MysteryMistry
It’s oddly refreshing to see a video about a serious topic that is more of a straight up vlog than a slam poem, and Jain of MysteryMistry renown makes this point herself in this video, which was initially intended to be just that.
Jain’s video talking about subtle racism is very interesting, and fully deserves to have a bit of a spotlight on it to open the discussion further. She’s 100% not saying she has all the answers, but she’s also asking the right questions. So go! Join in the discussion!
The Vamps: I Found A Girl cover – 96OneDream
Vanessa and Holly make up best friend duo 96OneDream, and if you haven’t found them yet, where have you been?!
These two talented girls seem to constantly have a new cover up their sleeves, each one more wonderful than the last. They’ve also just moved to London, so we’re looking forward to following their adventures in the capital!
Parkour In The Holy Land – Genesis (Ep 1) – StorrorBlog
Free-running mixed with discussion about the Israel/Palestine conflict may not sound like the most natural combination, but that’s exactly what the boys of Storrorblog have put together for their new series, Parkour In The Holy Land.
Storror travel around the world a great deal, meeting up with parkour communities across the globe. but this trip in particular seems to have been a very different experience for them. This is one series we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on over the next few weeks!
Fancy a lil’ bit more YouTube for your day? WELL.
We’ve all seen them knocking around, and James Hill has made a really great explanation of how #AD videos work. It’s well worth a watch if you’re interested in why and how they happen!
We don’t know about you, but Luke Cutforth is feeling 22, and he’s made a video to his future self. Luke, if we don’t see some sort of response to this in eight years’ time, you’ll have us to answer to!
The ever wonderful Gary C has brought back ShadyTown with a bucketload of sass, and oh how we’ve missed it. It’s like he just KNOWS what we’re thinking…
Think we missed anything? Let us know at @TenEightyUK on Twitter or TenEighty UK on Facebook.
