Zoe Sugg has teamed up with WHSmith to launch a book club.
Zoe Sugg will be hosting a new book club with UK retailer WHSmith. Expressing excitement in a recent blog post, she said: “I was always a bookworm growing up, and still today, despite spending so much time online and staring at a screen, nothing is quite as special as picking up a new book and getting lost in it.”
The book club will include eight books of Zoe’s choosing, which will be reviewed in a collection in videos exclusive to WHSmith. Viewers will have the opportunity to discuss the books with other readers online.
Zoe released her debut novel Girl Online in 2014 and the sequel Girl Online: On Tour the following year. Aimed at a young adult audience, Girl Online went on to be the fastest-selling book of the year, making Zoe a number one bestselling author.
WHSmith said on their website that the book club “is sure to excite and inspire young readers”, suggesting that Zoe’s understanding of young people makes her the perfect fit for a book club with young readers.
Jo Sayer, WHSmith Trading Controller, Kids’ Books also added: “Ever since Zoe’s book landed in our stores last year we knew she was the girl our customers wanted to hear more from – so we’re hugely excited to be launching this exclusive Book Club with Zoe.”
Zoe is encouraging readers to send their favourite book recommendations to her in order to find the best books possible for the selection.
The book club is set to launch in early June. More details will be up on the WHSmith site soon.
