Beauty vlogger Zoella will be the first female from the UK to receive YouTube’s diamond play button.
YouTube announced the play button at VidCon 2015 for creators who have reached 10 million subscribers.
Excluding VEVO accounts, YouTube trends, and TV shows, she is also the third female vlogger with over 10 million subscribers worldwide according to Social Blade, after Jenna ‘Marbles’ Mourey and Mariand Castrejon.
Zoe tweeted out that she was “so emotional” and that the occasion meant “the world” to her:
WE DID IT! THERE IS NOW 10 MILLION OF US. I'm so emotional 😭 I want you all to know this means the world to me. ❤️❤️ pic.twitter.com/QXiVp4y8h9
