There have been a SPOOKY amount of videos this week…
See what we did there? Because it’s October and it’s nearly Halloween? Okay, fine we’re clutching at straws, we know.
We’ve braved that dark castle on the hill filled with frightening creatures (a.k.a. TenEighty HQ before our morning caffeine) to bring you some of our favourite videos in Round-Up form.
ON WITH THE SHOW!
My Pink Hair Story || Sprinkle of Glitter – Sprinkleofglitter
Grab yourself a box of tissues, some pink hair dye and prepare your ‘les yeux’ (which is French for eyes; thanks Louise!)
We don’t have many words to say about Louise Pentland‘s new video, but we urge you to watch it.
Brave, touching and beautiful.
(And if you haven’t already seen, we wrote an article surrounding the release of this video which you can read here.)
Another acoustic original – Nikola In The Pond
………….
Sorry, right! The Round-Up! Yes, that. We were distracted watching this video for the MILLIONTH time (yes, we’re aware it’s not had a million views shhhh).
Nikola McMurtrie comes to our screens this week with a hilarious and BEAUTIFUL song including lines like: “Classic Ben Howard sounds” and “But oh”.
We don’t know what that person (that was definitely a human) did to hurt you, Nikola. But we promise we’ll help you seek vengeance.
Prepare for giggles from good ol’ Nikkles! (Sorry.)
a humble Q&A – poppiesarepunk
Along came Poppy (geddit?) Harrold this week with their self-described “7 minute attempt to be funny” and, frankly, we think they achieved it with flying colours.
By the by, does anyone actually say “with flying colours” anymore? Also, does anyone say “by the by”?
Anyway, Poppy answers the burning questions concerning hope, avocados, death and what the moon is. Give it a watch, we’re sure you’ll leave all the more enriched.
I Made A Speech! – Spriorite Studios
We’re so proud of Sam Prior this week.
After having been at Uni for less than a month (he updated us a while ago, get with the programme!) he’s already out there in front of big groups of people giving speeches. Brilliant work brofrienddudeperson!
Sam directs this video to himself and we agree with all of his sentiments. You SHOULD be proud, Sam; giving speeches is one of the most nerve-wracking things you can do and we at TenEighty HQ salute you.
You wouldn’t see us giving speeches. We’re much more comfortable behind a set of keys thank you very much good SIR.
good morning – jesstheindecisive
Okay, first of all Jessica, we SOLIDLY approve of your biscuit choice. Chocolate chip Hobnobs?! OutSTANDING. Secondly, your hair is fabulous. *ahem*
Jessica Korn uploaded a beautifully serene video this week- reminding us that YouTube isn’t all about loud ukuleles, glockenspiels and how much obscure candy people can fit into their mouths at once.
By simply documenting her morning routine, we know that we are not indecisive about how we feel about you, Jess. You’re pretty great.
(Can we talk about the fact that she’s having biscuits for breakfast, though? Like, how admirable that you can just choose whatever you want and throw societal breakfast norms out of the WINDOW, HIGH FIVE, GURL!)
So, you’re still here? Okay, a cheeky couple more…
Even on his second channel, Myles Wheeler has us LM-ing our FA’s O. He uploaded a tour of his hotel in Germany this week. Give it a gander if you fancy. (We know you fancy.)
Barry Lewis made a GIANT BROWNIE HOVERBOARD THIS WEEK. GREAT SCOTT! Seriously, it’s huge and full of ridiculous Back to the Future references. Do check it out.
Hazel Hayes touched our soft, weak TenEighty HQ hearts this week with her latest Time of the Month. Watch it, but only if you have strong heart strings. Ours have been plucked rather hard (um).
So, there we go! The week’s top videos as picked by us at TenEighty HQ, but surely we must have missed something that you loved this week? Why not let us know on Twitter @TenEightyUK or on Facebook at TenEightyUK.
