Snapchat has a new update. It’s pretty intense…
On Tuesday 15 September 2015, Snapchat introduced an update that’d change the app FOREVER. A bit. Maybe that was too dramatic. The update enables users to activate new lenses, including masks of an old person, a crying face and a cute vomiting rainbow. It’s cuter than it sounds.
As with every new internet trend, YouTubers have jumped on the bandwagon to test-drive the new features. We’ve pulled together some of our favourites, as well as their Snapchat names so you can add them too. You’re welcome.

This is the big one. Lovely Cherry Wallis can’t contain her excitement for what is possibly the best thing to happen to Snapchat since the replay feature. The caption basically sums up how we’re feeling about this whole thing. You’ve got to laugh or you’ll cry. Or vomit.

When we think of Gary C, we think of giraffes, sunflowers and shaaady times. Things that don’t spring to mind when we think of Gary include secret agents, advanced eye tracking technologies and next generation MI5 wizardry. So this Snapchat came as a surprise to us – especially with options like the love-heart eyes also being available. Who knows, maybe Gary is secretly a spy and has been planted to keep an eye on the YouTube community? Too real.

It’s no secret that TenEighty cover star Luke Cutforth is a bit crazy. So it’s no surprise that his Snapchat is full of random and sometimes slightly worrying stories. This, however, is just plain genius – and he looks like he’s having fun doing it in the video too. If you haven’t added Luke on Snapchat you’re missing out. Real talk.

Not everyone is as technologically advanced though. Spare a thought for poor Joe Sugg. Thankfully his new friend Evie has had better luck with apps because this frankly embarrassing for all involved. We’d be happy to give you a lesson in Snapchat, Joe. We promise not to take too many selfies with you (just kidding, we literally can’t promise that).

Young Bethan Leadley has used the Snapchat update to show herself in a whole new light. We all know deep down she’s old and wise, so this is a natural visual progression and we can’t get enough of it. We’re all growing older and Bethan is no exception, so consider this an insight into YouTube in 50 years time. Will Snapchat still be around then? Who knows…

George Bate takes the phrase devilishly charming to a whole new level. Yes, Klynch has jumped on the bandwagon and tried out one of the new lenses, although things didn’t go to plan in his Snapchat. It’s pretty funny. We’re hoping he’ll remix the sound effects of the lense and him sneezing together and make it into the next YouTube smash-hit.

And the Oscar goes to… Tom Cassell. Yes, dear old Syndicate has used the new lenses as a chance to brush up on his acting skills and they are oN POINT. We’d like to see the full range from Tom, an emotional cry, a demonic scream and gooey heart eyes. Get back on Snapchat, Syndi.

Okay, we know, she’s not a UK YouTuber. Considering this an honourable mention to the Snapchat QUEEN. Jenna Mourey is killing the game with Snapchat and we. cant. get. enough. That said, not everything is going right for Miss Marbles. Do the Snapchat lenses not recognise her face? What are they trying to say? RUDE. We love you anyway Jenna, you don’t need lenses. You da queen.
