The app was created in order to enhance the experience of those attending the UK YouTube convention.
Featuring a variety of tools, the new app has combined interactive activities with informative tools to help ensure those attending the convention from 14-16 August are able to partake in the activities they wish to.
Through the interactive sidebar, users can view the full schedule for this year’s convention, as well as create their own by adding events to a personalised list. They can also read about Summer in the City’s inception, see which events are open and full, purchase merchandise, view the event’s full line-up and the venue’s floor plan, browse through a frequently asked questions section and much more.
The app also allows users to get creative with a selfie tool that features various filters, including YouTube videos, cats, space pizza and the Summer in the City poster. The selfies can published to the app and shared through social media.
The app’s launch follows a new line-up announcement, which includes Michael Stevens, Chris Kendall and Andrea Russett.
Tickets for Summer in the City can be purchased here.

Earlier this year, the convention’s organisers announced a new ballot system for meet and greets, where ticket holders apply for the meet and greets they wish to attend and successful applicants are chosen at random.
